I did but I fly in this area an awful lot. Certainly doesn't hurt anyway.

    Care to expand on that? I really struggle to see how an update that makes California look more like the California we see irl, makes things seem more cartoonish.  This is a huge boom for VFR flye

compared LA to how it looks in the June 2024 trailer, and yeah it seems we have that Photogrammetry now.

Hotel Figueroa is advertising the iPhone 12, so the updated LA photogrammetry is from Fall 2020 or later, depending on when the advertisements were replaced.

The previous Photogrammetry was from 2014.

Is there a way to just delete the LA scenery if need be.

It says 'Landmarks' usually when they refer to handcrafted ones they say POI/Point of Interest, there's also no POI package with the update. City updates also normally don't come with Handcrafted POIs, they save those for World Updates.

But I'll check anyways.

Edit: Yeah, the Coronado bridge is Photogrammetry, not handcrafted. It's been nicely cut out though.

You can't disable a singular city, it's either all or none.

I just checked koak, ksfo, klax, ksan, and all seemed untouched. Enhanced nicely in the surrounding area with fewer "melted" structures. There are some city issues with Samscene products, but nothing too bad. It was just a quick look though...

Not obvious from this thread but City Update 13 : California is also available for MFS2020

I just disabled my Samscene KSFO package and checked the new stuff. Doesn't work for me, still way too melty and ugly for the main downtown areas. The outer bay area thouigh looks pretty good now. I shall leave my Samscene stuff in place until I discover any real issues, but the combination works well for me.

Like you, I prefer the SSD sceneries over the photogrammetry, even with the improvements. Moving the SSD cities/city packs lower in the scenery order does clear up many of the duplicates etc... Similar to the Vegas issue. SSD SF looks pretty clean with no duplicate bay bridge etc

Confused, shouldn't whatever is in the community (and/or symbolic link) folder always be on top of the MSFS 2024 official in terms of rendering PG or otherwise?  So if one is using SamScene cities that should still take render precedence?
