Would expect that the majority is streamed if not all of it except of whatever these 341kb are for

Some POI listed in the public announcement are not only photogrammetric derive objects: https://www.flightsimulator.com/city-update-13/ one easy example is the Coronado bridge at San Diego. City

Care to expand on that? I really struggle to see how an update that makes California look more like the California we see irl, makes things seem more cartoonish.  This is a huge boom for VFR flye

iirc It’s just a file that tells the sim to stream the new photogrammetry from the servers instead of the old

You can't disable a singular city, it's either all or none.

This is not true. There is an executable in the root folder of all Modern Cities packages that allows you to disable certain cities and POIs as required so they don't conflict. (for LA you can disable SoFi stadium)
Make sure you've updated to the latest version of MC.

Keep the blue part on top...

The detail is stunning.  I'm going to look for some of my old neighborhoods.

Sebastian: "Who is doing Yosemite National Park"?

Buffy: "I am sir".

Seb: "Yosemite falls are world famous and run for about 3 months every year and then go dry".

Buffy: "Don't worry sir, I picked a month when the falls were dried up"!

Seb: "He he, nice joke".

Buffy: "No, really"

Seb: "LOL, I almost believed you."

Anyone know how to get a picture-perfect postcard view without the haze?

Palm Springs is still full of totem pole Palm trees unfortunately.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

It looks very nice from the video, but I'm surprised they still haven't addressed the tree size issue.

The trees in some of the scenes are four times bigger than the nearest building! Who knows, that might be the case in places but overall it still looks very wrong. I know this complaint is as old as the hills, but why can't they concentrate on fixing global tree sizing as that would bring a lot more realism than anything they can do in localised updates.

Anyway, I'll do some exploring tonight 🙂

MSFS2024 just looks more an more cartoonish with this update.

There are some people who like to throw the cartoonish word around and I choose not to take them seriously.
