FWIW, I pretty much get all my airports from FlightSim.to these days. The free download process is a bit clunky & slow, but for a single airport here and there it’s fine for the low low price of $0 😎 to support them, I will periodically buy the very cheap membership for a month or two if I’m interested in a bunch of content in a short period of time 🤙

I like the fact the effects are live as sliders are adjusted, so quite easy to tweak. February 6Feb 6 2020 and 2024 are ultimately close to the exact same thing in so many ways. I still have 2020 installed but haven't touched it going on a year now. I found 2024 (both SU3 and SU4) to be a significant improvement over 2020 in some meaningful areas: I appreciate the rapid load times involved in 2024 over 2020, from initialization to flight launch. Atmospherics, lighting, 3D trees and shrubs w/ quite good portrayal of seasonal vegetation changes (provided you're not using PG), detail on the ground from rocks, and other. Performance (frame rate and freedom from stuttering) is better in 2024 Certain elements, not all by any stretch, of the GUI in 2024 is strangely designed. I once commented whomever developed the controller setup interface may well have been 'on the spectrum'. But I don't hang around in the GUI much and understand it and controller setup well enough such that it's no longer an issue. One sweet feature is the fact you can edit controls during flight w/o pausing the sim w/ the dropdown toolbar console icon. Tiered per airframe profiles are a nice advantage in 2024 as well.
