Why is there not a single shot that actually shows the airport we see from the plane in the preview? The interiors and all certainly look nice, but some shots of the ramps and actual apron etc. w

The fact that this was possible 20 years ago in FS9, and not possible right now is completely insane.

Pratically Geek does an first look  preview of iniBuilds VHHH:

iniBuilds VHHH plus the landmarks pack is now out.

Terminal 2 will include an interior, a iniBuilds support rep confirmed to me:

“Yes - we do have plans to have an interior for the new Terminal 2 when it is completed and references are made available.”

No word yet from SamScene3D about a release date for  new version of Hong Kong City Times, for those who use that.

It's a nice scenery and performance is quite good. My only gripe is that it looks too 'clean' and there's not enough clutter, especially at the cargo ramp LOL. But they did a good job.

I'd appreciate any comparisons with the WFSceneries VHHH (which I like very much).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The team at Inibuilds are on another level. This team has come a long way in a very short time. I'm so proud of them.

Congrats to the Inibuilds team!

I was hoping that EGKK London Gatwick would be included in a "VHHH destinations sale", but unfortunately it is not

Why would it be?  Thought they service only heathrow?

Exactly! We had SODE (SimObject Display Engine) for that, which could handle multiple jetways.

Unfortunately, the developer didn't see any added value for MSFS and has taken his site offline and made it password-protected.

Frankly, I'm also frustrated by the fact that boarding an A380 can take up to an hour when there's only one jetway available.

Oh…SODE…it’s great to hear it being mentioned…

It was indeed a very nice and immersive add-on that I distinctly recall from my (early?) FSX era, of course, nothing compared to the refinements we’re seeing these days in such (specific) aspects of the SIM.

@marlon445

Hi, when you talk about your frustration in the (long) boarding process of an A380, with just one jetway, I’m assuming reference to our virtual world, but not to the RW…🙂…or maybe both. Yes, in the RW, it can be troublesome.

With that said, I now recall boarding the A340-600, decades ago in Frankfurt, not even with a single jetway, but just air stairs. On several occasions, we would be taken by bus, to the tarmac out somewhere, away from the gate.

Typically the (FRA -> ORD) A346 would be always jam-packed, as I recall, in dense seat layout, with ~400 pax. The (air stairs) boarding would seemingly take for ever (sometimes in balmy and cold weather). Still, frankly, I didn’t mind this mode, and, in fact preferred the process…🙂…to the mundane jetway…

Surely, however, it was not so (and probably frustrating) for most of the other non-aviation-oriented, I mean, normal pax…🙂

Cheers…!

I had assumed that there would be flights from Gatwick to Hong Kong, but it seems that there are none. My mistake.

Congrats to the Inibuilds team!

Whatever they do (a good job of it or bad), I’m personally heartened by their thoughtful consideration to the Marketplace populace.

I do not know of anyone else in MSFS who is currently more prompt in making (all) their products (a/c, scenery and liveries) so readily available there.

Recently, I did a DLH/AeroLogic (FRA -> HKG) 777F (grueling…🙂…) flight, and the arrival (default) scenery was, let’s say, disappointing.

Per reports I see (away from Xbox at the moment), iniBuilds has already put the VHHH scenery in the marketplace, as of yesterday. I’m very interested in getting this one. Thanks to them.

I think the WFS one for VHHH is also available in the Marketplace, but I never got to acquire that one.

With this discussion, I’m leaning towards the (newer) iniBuilds version. Let’s see.

how is the performance compared to the WFS one?

Agree about double jetways, and shame that MSFS24 still doesn't have it.  Even FS2004 (yes, FS2004) had them. I even remember what AES with its credits stood for 🙂
