Is it easy to setup controls and assign the Airbus thrustmaster throttle to operate all 4 engines?

I already a had  preset for 4 Engine operations that I use for the A343 and the A380. I just chose that one to have the axis correctly assigned and then calibrated the detents in the EFB.

    Oh grow up.

  • Many people mention, how smooth the performance with the Aero A340 is. Even on big airports (main destinations for the 600). I guess the performance was one main reason, they don't use high res text

The guy in that video needs glasses. The difference is quite large in favour of the IniBuilds where texturing is concerned. I immediately noticed it when i loaded the A346, it feels "X-Plane-ish" whil

My rapid review from 4 flights (I do miss working at PC Pilot mag 😉 )

Visuals = ok but will not set the world on fire. Cockpit lighting lacking a bit too.

Systems = fabulous

FM = not flown a real A340 but very stable and convincing. Nice feeling of the weight and inertia. Goes where you expect it when handflying down the g/s so a real joy

Trying to use the FSPM/OSM VFR Map to teleport myself but it does not work.

Has anyone else had the time to test it?

has anyone noticed that the performance data from the EFB is not uplinking correctly? requiring manual entry. I just saw a video with british avgeek and saw that his EFB uplink generated the same erroneous data as me.

I recommend you read the chapters in the manual about this. There is a reason for that. And the data is not erroneous.

I'm assuming the license key is the serial number that's displayed in Aerosoft One, as well as on the "Downloads" page on aerosoft.com?

It was indeed. I copied it from the web page and had the option to paste it into the EFB field.

Sorry to hear youre having issues and hope you get it sorted.

Thank you! that really helped! I appreciate it

(I notice it refers to x-plane in that chapter which needs a quick edit)

I saw that as well. Copy paste, eh. 😆

I was away for some time and all good things happen while I was gone. A340-600 certainly looks promising but more keen to get Caravan instead, Even if I do buy A340 it will sit in my hanger idle as I don't do long hauls anyway. But it will be interesting to see what people think about this - Toliss certainly have a reputation when it comes system simulation. I'd expect this A340 to be far superior even better then inibuilds A340 in terms of systems simulation.

For me on my Velocity One Flight Yoke and Throttle (4), it was not easy or intuitive.  I finally got my quads calibrated and working but it was PFM.  If I lost the calibration I’m not sure I could repeat it.  I THINK so, but I don’t want to try to find out.  YMMV. TANSTAAFL.  Blue skies,

That's the thing: You don't have to do long hauls in this thing. I just did an 8 Hour route in 90 Minutes in it, thanks to the jump ahead feature.

That's a very cool feature however I don't use time acceleration or jump ahead feature, My flights are real time and 99 percent of time are either done on Vatsim or IVAO.

It is just as enjoyable conducting a 60 minute flight in a large airliner as it is in a small one. There are no rules in a simulator to say that you have to do long hauls in an A340.

To me it's not as rewarding doing short flights in a plane that primarily only does long flights.  I don't judge others for it, but doing real or historically real flights I find more satisfying.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I'm a bit interested, but I got some questions:

1. Does it support higher simrates (4x or 8x)?

2. Does it have a Jump Ahead mode (such as the FSL buses and the QW787 for FSX and P3D)?

3. If not, can the fuel content be modified in flight (as any other plane but some FS9 planes and the TFDi MD-11)?

We all know it's a long haul plane, but sometimes developers miss this.

Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

I'm happy with it - i've loved the A340-600 since the old JF/CLS F-lite one as a small simmer. Maybe its just me after work but the Autopilot FCU doesn't seem to be integrated to the default controls so I can't immediately use the controls on my Bravo - anyone else noticed this?
