It so reminds me of switching from the Cessna to the Learjet in FS 4.0, you’re climbing through 1,000ft but your mind is still sat on the runway. Don’t firewall those throttles! FS4.0b! When I had a spare 30 mins I used to love taking off from Meigs 36 then tracking the ILS into KORD in the Learjet. If I remember correctly the Cessna used to do pattern work at Meigs so if you flew back you had to watch out for it. I just saw videos of both these new additions particularly designed for MSFS 2024 and i can't help getting the feeling that PMDG might have used the full monty of the 2024 SDK while Inibuilds might not have.... At first glance i'd say the 737-700 cockpit looks astonishing beautiful (i did fly the wings off of the PMDG MAX in FSX) while the L-1011 looks absolutely wonderful too but misses the superb sophistication of the textures/materials i see in the 737 cockpit. Big fan of the Tristar, fantastic to see it has landed in FS2024 but i can't already forget how exceptionally good the 737-700 VC looks. So how about it, FS2024 PMDG 737-700 pilots, am i on course as far as the (more or less) full use of the 2024 SDK has been applied for this "Best Looking VC Ever !" ??..... (only based on watching a video of it ) Thanks a lot for your answer ! ( for the time being it's either the 737 or L-1011, not both..;-) I can't speak to the 1011, but iniBuilds do have a good reputation for high quality graphics, and that seems to track with the reviews of the 1011 I've seen around here. For the 737, I find it quite pleasing. I don't honestly see much of a difference in the cockpit instrument panels between this latest graphics upgrade, the -800 2024 cockpit and the -700 2020 cockpit, which is where I'm usually looking. But it IS obvious that a significant amount of work has gone into other areas of the -700 2024, so there's that. There's a few threads here on avsim talking about this, might be good to see what other folks have to say about it.

For all the PMDG moaning and groaning it's a beautiful and fully developed rendition of the 'universal' airliner that will perform better on your 3060ti system than all the others.

It's the third time i'll have to buy the PMDG 737 but i enjoyed the first two so much. Haven't seen it in FS2020 nore 2024 yet so i probabely just forgat how good the VC looks. Just saw another video sporting the -700 and it's truly jawdropping, inside as well as outside, isn't it. Ok, i'll keep the L-1011 for later then. Thanks again ! 😎

I also like 2-man cockpits… For me it kinda comes down to the types of flying. BAe is a legit “austere airfield” aircraft. Can and has operated from literal roads and dirt strips in some of the most difficult terrain and environments on the planet. A FAR more interesting experience for ME.😎 1011, in contrast, can’t get its feet dirty and needs 2 miles of groomed, hard surface runway.

Short runway takeoffs were a blast. Cabin layout was great with plenty leg room. Sadly the service to KCCR ended, not sure why … sound? Seems like I heard that from relatives, I had family who lived in Walnut Creek just a little south of there. I used to fly out of KCCR in FS2, I had a scenery disk that had the bay area of California, and what made it so neat to me (as a 12 year old), was that Buchanan/KCCR had a concrete runway depicted as almost white as opposed to the black strips I was used to! I loved the 146 because it had 4 engines, I’ve always favored 4 engine aircraft, be it a 707 (early days when I traveled from UK to Bahrain and Pakistan), 747 UK to USA, A380 to Dubai, A340 from SFO to Heathrow … but I must admit, I’ve wasn’t a fan of the A340 in terms of leg room and noise. All time favorite was the upper deck in the 747 usually UK to USA and visa-versa. Oddly I don’t recall the 707 being as loud as the A340. Ha yes, it used to stand out like the dog’s…. With its white runways. I often fly over it for real when departing SFO for LHR and am always disappointed by it just looking like any other airport in real life. 787 captain.
