OK, we're getting into unhappy territory here with accusations of theft being tossed about, so I'm locking this one down. If data is made available on a publicly-accessible website with no access

Actually, there is: PSXT (free) + RealTraffic (~$9/mo)

First and most important - Flightradar24 and FSLTL never had an agreement. FSLTL has been steeling Flightradar24 data for many years without permission which is breaking the terms and conditions.

Remember: FR24 never ever ask any Airline or Airplane-owner to publish the positions of their planes. It is an invasion of personal data. So where is the right of FR24 to publish these private data and the right to forbid to use these data ???

ADS-B, Flarm and other Transponder data are for Air Traffic controll only. FR24 hack and stole these data !

This made my day, thank you for sharing this... I am dying 🤣

What on earth is @fl95 talking about? FR24 makes money by subscriptions (which I have as it's a valuable service), but it also partners with airlines and aircraft manufacturers.

It was just a matter of time before FSLtL was going to be prevented from using FR24 data for free. When a private equity company bought about a one third interest in FR24, there probably was some internal examination of areas where potential income was being lost.

Also, I don't know how much of the flight sim community knows this, but FSLtL uses freeware models without permission from the authors. I guess the best way to keep your product free is to use other people's intellectual property.

Can I ask a question of @AVSIM Admin the So called Flight Radar 24 account can you verify that this is genuine  flightradar 24 account as in its someone posting on behalf of the company as they @flightradar24are making some rather interesting claims against FSLTL which I am surprised as a large company they are making in public.

I am going send a copy of these posts to the company to verify myself as well, as accusing an app of stealing is rather harsh in the first place let alone doing it publicly especially as they have been speaking to FR24 as a company for last year regarding this. And its been no secret that they have beeen using this dat for a number of years now.

I just find it strange this @flightradar24is less than a day old.

ADS-B is not private data, I have no idea where you got that information. Who told you that ADS-B information is solely for ATC?! There's no hacking or stealing of data, this is publicly available information.

According to seminar that I attended years ago by SoCal ATC supervisor, ATC doesn't use ADS-B . ADS-B is purely for air to air traffic advisory just like predecessor TIS-B. In turn, FAA can monitor ADS-B to confront violation of regulation. I actually receive a call from FAA because some CFI, who. was flying my airplane, went too low over congested area. FAA got my tail number and were inquired who was flying  on this date, that hour, in that area LOL

Nowdays a lot of folks got smarter so they code ADS-B as "private". In this case you cannot tell the tail number and there remain "incognito" in some respect.

Foreflight has ADS B feed I can see all the traffic sitting at home . Of course in subscription type  of service that I pay.  In USA ADS B "out" is mandated in most airspaces so everyone has it. But service is free https://globe.adsbexchange.com

it´s their account, same information was shared by official FR24 account as comment under this video

Shame they need to say that in Public, but i suspect its just FR24 trying to deflect the damage this is doing to there Rep instead of just leaving it all alone to blow over

@jabloomf1230 Is this just your opinion or do you have actual evidence of this, as they have been around a long time now and if that was really true it would have made a bigger headline than just a couple of forum posts

While I do not have evidence, I do remember reading about this years ago when FSltl first came out, and as I recall, it was pretty clear that some models were used. There was some explanation to the effect that the model authors were not contactable or something.

It's been a while, I don't remember exactly. But certainly this was a topic of discussion some years ago.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had illegally accessed Flightradar's data.

They were stealing the AIG models with impunity until AIG rightly put a stop to it.

This is getting off the rails. The best time for me to officially say goodbye to this topic. 👋

Very strange story going on here.

Not even sure this is a topic for the MSFS forum.

This seems like one party views this as a dispute and the other as theft.

This should be in the hanger chat area or locked down.

It really no longer bears any discussion here.

It's simply a dispute between two parties. Believe what you want.

aahh I was wondering how long it would take for the armchair legal experts to turn up, oh well thread done, will await news from FSLTL themselves.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

This is all news to me. I've been here for years reading positive comments about FSLTL and their Injector only to read that there might have been some stealing and using models without permission. It's disappointing, but I have to ask, why is this happening now?

If this is all true, it should have been addressed years ago. I blame this on the Asobo dev team for not making AI Traffic & ATC a priority.

We are now in the middle of a second amazing sim, and still no fix or sign of a fix coming. Let them keep relying on a voting system that simply has not worked. We, the customer, are the ones that are losing. We keep paying for unfinished software.

Mods, how long before we close this thread?
