These go away in the beta. Performance stability is better in beta. And then there's SU5 Seb clouds and wind currents.

DLSS wasn't broken.

nobody said it was. it just got downgraded back to the older v310.4, as usual after each MSFS update. I thought that was clear by now. had to use DLSS swapper to bring it back to latest v310.6

I don't understand why you did this Fielder.  The final SU5 beta will simply convert to the full release version anyway when Asobo choose to make it live.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

You are probably right. But there is advise out there that you should leave the beta before flying a new release version. That's what AI told me. And AI probably got their opinion for Reddit threads on the subject.

AI also told me that a river that I know flows in the opposite direction that I know does and that it ends in the pacific when I know it ends in the Atlantic so....

Hello Fielder,

The "advice" you received from AI on this topic has no merit. There is no problem with staying enrolled in the beta when the release version goes live. With previous Sim Updates, the final beta build was the same build number as the release version, so those enrolled in the beta didn't even need to download a new update as they were already using the full release version.

If you don't want to automatically enroll in the next beta (i.e. Sim Update 6), then you should exit the beta after SU5 is released. Otherwise, you can stay enrolled and will receive the first SU6 beta build as soon as it is available.

Thanks,

@SeedyL Are you saying that if your in the beta and your sim is located in the default location, i.e., C drive, the sim will no longer be automatically re-downloaded and the Community folder wiped when the beta goes live?

You are D*(*( right I do. It has saved me hundreds of hours by listening to AI on a very lot of subjects and problems.

Uh huh...

I had one lengthy conversation with it over a subject I was personally very knowledgeable about.

It made stuff up, doubled down on it and then denied any wrongdoing when called out.

You must not use it as an information tool!

It's a language model that tries to mimick human interactions, nothing more.

AI can be super helpful. I am loving it. Well, until the robot dogs with machine gun turrets show up.
