May 16May 16 Author Here's a paint I had made earlier but was finally able to see it in the sim! This Lancair makes use of the lovely 2024 native textures which include metallic flake and orange peel. May 16May 16 More expensive than I'd have expected - especially for glass only and beta.... then again, the Lear is £61 on the Marketplace 🤨Will leave this until the analogue comes out (or A2A) and enjoy the Echo Simulations Falco for now, Edited May 16May 16 by JYW Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

May 16May 16 A few early bugs picked up on Discord already so updates will come thick and fast I think. They did when the 2024 Lear was in beta. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

From their Discord... Important: The analog panel is not included in this first beta release, but it is coming in a future update at no extra cost. If you buy the aircraft now, you will automatically receive the analog version when it is released.Scott

Curious that they're calling this a beta rather than early access, but I expect the experience will be the same either way. Also, glass only - they mention that the analog version should release in around 4 weeks or so.Edit: And after thinking about it for all of 2 seconds, I realize the difference is likely that the product is feature complete but still with a few bugs to iron out, where an "Early Access" product is typically not feature complete.Think first, then post Scott.ScottDon’t be hard on yourself - it’s almost all marketing semantics, anyway. Plus, if there’s no steam gauge included right now, it’s definitely Early Access 😁🤙

And the other two variants are coming free sometime “soon”, so…In re their Lear, yeah, I would’ve preferred they kept the 3 - 6 variants as separate purchases, but the addon is SO satisfying that I’ve definitely gotten over it. 😁👍

May 16May 16 There are things that can be fixed like the poor systems modelling of the AP and particularly the comm radio (though I doubt we’ll see a fix to the ridiculous number of variants you have to wade through on the MSFS menu) and the visuals and flying are fine, but I know I can get an awful lot better than fine in this price bracket. If this was $30ish (which with a discount and loyalty points is roughly what I paid) it might make sense as a genuinely cheaper option for people on a budget but they’ve deliberately chosen to price it effectively the same as an A2A plane and they aren’t in the same league as A2A, no-one is.As it stands the advantage it has is a G3X glass cockpit but I think they’ve largely priced out the buyer who might be swayed by that.
May 16May 16 Author Huh…well that’s disappointing to hear…, That's very different than my opinion. Granted I love fast GA. So this was a no brainer to me. Fast, flies pretty well, touchy but true to life flight model, support for turbocharged engine, onboard O2, beautiful g3x and GTNxi integration (I use TDS much more realistic), amazing sounds, gorgeous visuals....not to mention failures and saved states plus the 2024 native goodies (walk-around, dirt and grime accumulation, paint effects such as metallic flake and orange peel)...there's more but I'm mobile so I'm not writing a wall of words haha.We don't even see the analog panel yet I'm sure that will have GNS/GTN/GTNxi support.I find the price to be totally fair. You essentially have two engines and two totally different cockpits for less than 50 USD....in this current economy, where everything costs more and more. And p.s. black square is on the a2a level. A2A goes external therefore they have a slightly better flight model but black square does much more interesting aircraft with deeper systems. Any A2A or Black Square is an insta buy for me! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
