We haven't really seen how you would tackle the actual ATC part.Personally I'd love to hear how you would approach ATC differently to the likes of SayIntentions and BATC. That's not meant to be confrontational at all – I'm genuinely curious and it would go a long way to generate interest. I purchased every single ATC tool since XP10 came out, it's a big part of the flight sim experience for me. And hey, it's great that the once forgotten genre of flight sim tools has this many new competitors and so much innovation. But you know, is it voice based or button? Will you support both IFR and VFR from launch or only one of those? Will you support the entire world or just US?Would it support failures? Is it built around simbrief or works independently?Does it work off a flight plan or is it more ambient (like MSFS ATC)?Are you relying on AFCAD data for taxiways or your own solution?Would you handle historic weather or only real time?Is some sort of multiplayer planned? Or is it player only? What sort of features could we expect from the very first release?Great question, and this kind of question must be answered. Some of your questions are already answered by me in this thread but no harm in copying myself I guess. To be honest, I really don't care how BATC and SI works. I've used both and loved flying with them but then I decided to create this addon because of two reasons. "Tribute" and "Respect" to all aviators out there (including myself)It's both text based and audio based. Text based version also helps us with debugging during development phase. IFR and VFR are all supportedOf course entire world. Failures, emergencies all covered. 7700/7600 right?Yes it's built on simbrief doesn't work independently. And there's a big reason for that. When you load the flight plan, we get a snapshot of live traffic around the departure and arrival airport and create a virtual world based on this data. So we needed some kind of a source of truth. That's why, even you fly VFR you need to file a flight plan to simbrief.AFCAD data is the core of this kind of stuff (:Historic weather no. Realtime weather yes. But multiple weather sources will be availableMultiplayer (don't wanna give promises) it's what currently dev-team is working on. We're planning to create a code for you to share with your friend and let them join in. But this takes the bar to a very high level considering the server costs and everything. So that's why I don't wanna give promises in the initial release, but It is def. a task in our pipeline. The first initial release will also include a demo. You can test it yourself (:And one last thing. Today we named this beauty. Now it will be released as "ACE of ATCs" With bestps: @kevinfirth today in our daily standup call, I've talked to the dev team about the wingdown question you asked. It's already being fixed actually the wingdown technique was a little harsh, and neutralized. And also thanks a lot for your kind words. /Anil Anil Ardahanli Computer Science BsC :: Sindel Aviation (Niner Wings) PPL // CPL // IR // ME // ATP CEO & Co-Founder of ACE-Solutions https://ace-solutions.io
12 hours ago12 hr If this is only Simbrief and online based, then that would not work for me. I prefer offline AI flightplans, and also manually entered user flightplans (I do not need them to be 100% accurate to the real world). 12 hours ago12 hr I probably should have specified "real world" based instead of "online" based. What I mean is that I do not want to emulate the real world (flights/weather etc). I prefer to fly in my own simulated world with AIG flightplans, where I can set the wind direction, and the weather is always calm 😁 Edited 12 hours ago12 hr by Christopher Low Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

That is the kind of feedback I prefer as well.About the calculation: I hope you understand that I can’t go into the internal implementation details. This is one of the areas where we are doing a lot of our own work, and I would rather not publish the recipe in a public thread. What I can say is that it is not a canned animation or a simple random visual effect. It is driven by wind, runway, aircraft state and some aircraft-specific limits. We are still tuning it, and feedback like yours is exactly why I keep posting WIP stuff. So yes, I agree there is still a way to go. If you did not read the thread, did not watch what was posted, and are not interested in the WIP process, then there is not much for me to answer. There are multiple WIP videos here showing aircraft movement, runway interaction, crosswind behaviour, radar / traffic work, and a lot of technical discussion with input from pilots and other simmers. You may not personally care about those parts, and that is completely fine. But pretending nothing has been shown because you chose not to follow the thread is not criticism. For me, ATC is not just a voice clip playing on top of the simulator. Voice is the last thing people hear. What matters is what sits underneath it: aircraft that are actually controlled, traffic that waits for clearance, taxi routes that make sense, runway authority, sequencing, route intent, and a system that knows why an aircraft is doing what it is doing. That is why I have shown the foundation first. If the only thing you are looking for is a finished ATC / voice demo, then this thread is simply not for you right now. Please wait until I post that video instead of dropping dismissive comments into a WIP discussion you openly admit you did not follow.Fair technical criticism is welcome. Questions are welcome. Doubt is welcome too.But drive-by comments like “marketing 101” are not useful, and I am not going to shape this project, or this thread, around impatience. And to be honest, once a discussion starts from that kind of dismissive tone, I am not interested in continuing it further. I will gladly answer good-faith technical questions, but not from a place where the work already shown here is brushed off without even being followed. So again: no public ATC / voice video yet.But this thread is not empty, it is not marketing boilerplate, and the ATC / voice part will be shown when I decide it is ready to be shown. With love.../Anil Anil Ardahanli Computer Science BsC :: Sindel Aviation (Niner Wings) PPL // CPL // IR // ME // ATP CEO & Co-Founder of ACE-Solutions https://ace-solutions.io

If you wanted constructive feedback, you should have titled the thread or wrote your initial post in a way that drove that kind of feedback. Instead, you only changed your tune after several here mentioned that maybe that would be a better approach. Or maybe you should have waited until you were further along and revealed closer to release. You kind of dug your own hole here.... You kind of dug your own hole here....I just went back and read my first post again, and I honestly could not find a single clue of what you are claiming I was doing. Interesting...I have not changed my tone either. What I said was: “We are planning to show you what we have in our minds in the upcoming days.” And that is exactly what happened. But do you know what happened after that? Some people started doing detective work about my company, some started saying this could not be done, and some brought negative assumptions just because I told AVSIM that “something different is coming.”Anyway, I am not here to talk about people’s behaviour. I am here to share the work we are trying to build. As I said earlier, if you are here to give feedback about the project we are about to finish, you are welcome. If not, please do not hijack this thread. You can always keep those comments to yourself, because there are a lot of people here who are actually trying to help this project with their posts, comments and technical feedback. As always, with love.
