Didn’t expect any “wow” moments and haven't got them. I’ve seen some say moving gauges whilst using M preset render a little better (the alt strip for example) but cannot say I’ve noticed. 21 hours ago21 hr 310.7 cured my CTD issues. Before, I could fly with 310.1 but not 310.6 (CTD). Actually more of a complete black screen as if the gpu shut down. Anyway 310.7 completely cured the issue. (I have been flying this new driver since late last night). It also seems to keep my fps locked better (more stability). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. 21 hours ago21 hr With 310.6 I never could do even a single flight, not even a short one, without the screen freezing up completely to black. I'm not sure why, maybe because I use reshade. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. 21 hours ago21 hr don't believe that M is best, it all depends what you are using DLAA, quality or performance. For me I still like DLAA best and use K, cause L and M are for Performance, quality and balance.Preset K: The default baseline and first-generation transformer model. It is optimized for DLAA, Balanced, and Quality upscaling modes, offering the best balance of sharpness and performance without demanding heavy processing. Preset L: A more advanced AI model meant specifically for Ultra Performance scaling. It provides higher detail reconstruction in motion, reducing ghosting or smearing in high-action sequences. Preset M: Dynamically mapped for Performance mode upscaling. It is built to compensate for the lower native resolution input by aggressively reconstructing missing visual data using the AI network. One of the problems with preset M is that it uses a bit more VRAM and with only 16 gb on my 5080 I am marginal in a few places (admittedly using very high settings and VRAM hungry addons (but once you have seen the eye candy, you can't unsee it). I also find any frame generation doesn't seem to play well with DLSS (for me anyway- and I need the extra FPS to give me smooth head tracking). As for the dlss and dlssg files, I've not noticed any difference between 3.10.7 and 3.10.6 so far though I'm sure Islandsimpilot will do an analysis of frametimes, 1% and 0.1% lows, etc. So I will wait to see if he finds anything - I have watched his initial video above. 16 hours ago16 hr L, M or K for the best image quality? Im using TAA for AA, does that matter at all in this? Im on a 4090. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom

8 hours ago8 hr If you're actually using TAA then the DLSS presets won't change the image, as far as I understand it. They only matter once you're using DLSS upscaling or DLAA. On a 4090 I'd probably test DLAA first, then compare K and M in the same place with the same weather/time of day. The differences can be pretty subtle, and motion/shimmering in cockpit labels is usually where I notice it more than on a still screenshot.

I tried TAA a few times, but found that temperatures in my GPU core got higher than when using DLSS, I am still using NVidia 595.71 and DLSS 310.1, that is giving me the best results. And I won't change that for the time being :) Kind regards, Hans van WIjhe Acer Predator P03-640 2.10 Ghz Intel 12th Gen Core 17-12700F 64GB memory, Noctua NH-U9S Cooler, 1.02 TB SSD HD, 1.02 TB HD, NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 16GB Memory, Windows 11 (x64)
