The exception might be a special case like I’ll sometimes get airline liveries for real aircraft I’ve flown for that airline etc , but most of the time I’m oblivious to how the aircraft looks from the outside.curious if you’ve tried walk around in VR?I did it back in XP and it was awesome to get the true sense of scale, especially a jumboobviously, you’re well acquainted IRL, so perhaps that’s not a thing for you 👍

Most people don't know, but making a livery is much more than just textures. It's creating the folder structure, testing the livery, making thumbnails, taking screenshots to display our work etc. On average I find it takes me about 5 hours to make a simple paint, especially if it's the first one in its category. Advanced/complex paints can easily take 20+ hours to finalize everything. I do most of my work for free, but for requests (that I wouldn't normally paint) I typically require payment. Painting in 2020 (and 24) has become a chore at times. I still manage to find joy in painting. As a benefit, or lately I guess, I've received free products from some developers. That is a nice gesture, because I know that nice paints can help sell a product.Anyway taking quality screenshots helps "sell" the product. Downloads at flightsim.to really only help me get a free premium subscription. Which, imo, is more than fair, because they make money from ads. However, it's labor intensive... a set of 9 which is what I prefer to do, takes 40-60 min typically.Do you prefer to see one pic, and that would determine if you download my paint? Or do you prefer to see multiple screenshots? I think sometimes I only look at one pic too. I'm just curious what the community here thinks as I know many have downloaded my liveries over the years. Also important, and I've added it as a choice, do you NOT download paints - could you respond here if you don't and why you don't?Well, I’m Gonna give you my usual “it depends…” answer 😂Generally, I do look at the multiple pictures. BUT, I’m usually looking for ONE specific view: I want to clearly be able to see the entire fuselage and tail, and whether the wings are painted (Most of the time it’s the rear fuselage and tail treatment that turn me off a paint). Also one of the reasons I really dislike the MSFS livery preview angle - can’t see the aft section. And the lighting is bad. So, my request would be for a single shot 3/4 angle with around 10 deg of bank. It’d also be nice to see the belly, so perhaps another taken just by slewing the view downwards - or banking away, since that’d only take a few extra secs to capture.other than that, I couldn’t care less about multiple scenes, esp if you’re actually changing locations/weather, configuration, etc.So I did vote for multiple screenshots, but I could be entirely satisfied with just one or two at the correct angles. 👍And, as others have said, I do personally REALLY appreciate your efforts in our behalf! And now that I know you take commissions, I’m gonna reach out via PM (my requests are boringly simple and repetitive - just like ME! 😂).

55 minutes ago55 min For airliners, I download fictional UAL liveries if UA never the type. For example, A350, A380, etc... I also love alternate colors for airliners or for particular cool liveries such as the Star Wars or the good ole Kulala Flying 101.For my limited GA, my tastes are similar. If it looks cool, I'll grab it.How do I determine if it looks cool? I can decide in a handful of pics. (Most can see the quality of the livery as we browse through the photos thus I'm not listing it) Is the livery in colors I like? If not, is it so unique that I have to have it? Is there work done in the cockpit is a bonus.I appreciate all the painters out there. I'd love to learn but I do not know where to start. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
