Wednesday at 08:32 PM3 days Does anyone find that in V3 of the Fenix that on landing during flare mode when I pull back on the stick like I normally do the plane will stay at the altitude or even climb slightly? And then when you retard to idle, the plane drops like a rock to the runway? I thought in v3 that was supposed to be the opposite. Anyone else seeing this? Wednesday at 08:41 PM3 days I struggle to get consistent landings in the Fenix. It's easy to fly but quite tricky to master when it comes to landing it.The 'flare' or pitch up that you need is very small. You're probably tugging the stick too hard if you're finding that it climbs again. One thing that has changed in V3 is that your speed really matters. If you come in a few knots too fast you WILL float and then slam down hard. If using auto thrust with managed speed the wind entry on the approach page in the MCDU matters as this is what determines your approach and threshold crossing speed. It should be as close to the yellow band as possible as your cross the threshold. As a rule of thumb, maintain about 700fpm on the descent to the runway. As you pass between 30-40 give a very gentle back pressure on the stick to arrest the descent and then release it. Close the thrust levers at 20-30 feet. You may need some very small back stick motions again as it settles down to the runway.Of course this all varies depending on the conditions - headwind strength makes quite a difference I've found.Have fun with it, it's hugely rewarding when you get it right! Wednesday at 09:52 PM3 days I've given up on fly-by-wire aircraft in MSFS. No developer has been able to get it right. Not the Fenix with the A320, not PMDG with the 777, not iniBuilds with the A350. I just assume that the inaccurate modeling of weather, wind, and turbulence in MSFS is the issue.

I said the EXACT same thing in another post. I was doing quite well in V2 but with V3, I struggle. As you said, others have said they find its easier, but not me. I presume one is more accurate than the other but have no idea which one....
Wednesday at 11:10 PM3 days Author Yeah... i can still put it in the touchdown zone but i just always seem to slam it down a bit. Nothing crazy but different from V2. I will try less back pressure on my stick even though I don't use that much in the first place. Maybe my stick settings are too sensitive Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
Wednesday at 11:32 PM3 days No. It is way easier to land now than it used to be. The A319 and A320 you flare at 30 ft, the A321 at 40. Look at the end of the runway as you do, and then retard the trottle at 20 ft.
Thursday at 10:08 AM3 days I’ve found V3 to be much more difficult. I agree with the poster who said speed matters way more. A couple of knits above reference speed will create a huge amount of float. In general I have found the flight dynamics in V3 to require way more stick input than previous versions. No idea if that’s accurate or not but it’s very noticeable. I’m going to need more time to get it back to where I was with landings in V2.

Thursday at 08:08 PM2 days The behaviour in MSFS is now somewhat similar to that in XP12 (Fenix / Toliss) – absolutely no problem – no aircraft ‘sails’ endlessly along the runway once the speed drops – ground effect depends on many factors, such as temperature, pressure, etc. – but I actually don’t think it’s a problem to land the Fenix (Airbus mechanical sidestick) AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D , watercooled, GeForce RTX 4090, RAM 64GB Kingston Fury 6000Mhz , Fractal Design 7 XL, MSI X670 Carbon, all SSD
Thursday at 09:01 PM2 days For me, it’s the opposite: in V2 I couldn’t land it at all, but in V3 everything is perfect.

Friday at 02:02 AM2 days Are you guys still cutting the throttle at 30ft because that doesn't work anymore. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
Friday at 02:57 PM1 day Author Don't get me wrong, I can still land it and I would rather a hard landing in the touchdown zone then a soft one down the runway. I just find that of the 6 flights or so that i've done in V3, 4 of them have been harder than usual. What is weird is that my Gforce has been low but the FPB has been higher than i am used to. Friday at 07:26 PM1 day I find the flaring better imo. Although I had to tune my elevator sensitivity for this plane only to +0.30 on both and I feel more in control during flare and not slamming in the tdz.
