  1. I think the OP is mistaken. It would be a disaster to have default autogen show on top of photo-scenery, it would be totally out of place. George
  2. Las Vegas is not autogen, it is part of the default scenery, Cities\LasVegas.
  3. I don't think there is a default Stonehenge. Do you have another addon perhaps?
  4. I think they are flogging a dead horse
  5. You need an exclusion rectangle not an airport background polygon. See the "Compiling BGL" section of the FSX SDK.
  6. Small update. If I create a flight at the airport where the effect is placed, I can't see the smoke. If I then go to another airport and back to the original, the smoke is visible.
  7. I am having a problem with fx_SmokeStack2.fx. I can place it anywhere but it won't display in a flight unless I go to "World->Scenery Library" and uncheck or check any existing area (apart from the area containing the effect placement). On return to the flight, the smoke is displayed. I am using FSX Acceleration on two machines, one running XP Pro and the other W7 64bit. Both systems exhibit the same effect. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. George
  8. No tool will help if there are no high-res textures available.
  9. The filename of an agn file determines its geographical position. It will display if there is a photo bgl at that position, it doesn't matter how the photo bgl was created.
  10. It will point in the correct direction if you enable the HUD in Flight. George
  11. I have about 800GB of add-on scenery and about 36GB of add-on aircraft.
  12. Luis gave you the answer: "You should be able to determine which SimSavvy file to load in the Annotator by first having a look at it in TMFViewer. Once you locate the file you want, annotate it and the agn files should be saved in the Texture folder." George
  13. Try starting a flight in Hawaii then start GMap and connect. Leave GMap open and move to Alaska. To have the user aircraft point in the correct direction you need to have the HUD active. George
  14. Scenery.dat files are used in FS9 and are equivalent to the FSX files in SceneryIndexes.
  15. There is no bug in ADE, the fault is in the KELP obj file. George
  16. And they also show at KELP ;) Just remove KELP_ADE_OBJ.BGL from Global\Scenery. George
  17. It is looking for textures LIRF_MAP12, LIRF_MAP12_LM and LIRF-MAP12_SPECULAR which are in \Scenery\EURW\Texture.
  18. I find that these lights illuminate only at dawn and dusk. They do not illuminate at night. George
  19. The Looser emoticon? I thought it was a salute :Nail Biting:
