How does it (the installer) know there are no missing textures? If it does it is much cleverer than any I've seen.

default airport in wrong location
GHD replied to flyingnoob's topic in FSX | FSX-SE Scenery Design Forum - How To
Both UTX and SBuilderX simply replace the Terrain.cfg rather than adding their propriety bits. SBuilderX does not depend on Terrain.cfg so you should be able to use it. -
default airport in wrong location

It might help if you oriented your top-down view North, This is the default EGPN: and in Generation-X: The main difference is the coastline. George -
You need to edit dll.xml to activate the tools that you wish to use: <Launch.Addon> <Name>Object Placement Tool</Name> <Disabled>True</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\object_placement.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Traffic Toolbox</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <------------------ <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>F:\FSXSDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Visual Effects Tool</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <------------------- <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>F:\FSXSDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Special Effects SDK\visualfxtool.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon>

If you wish, you can add autogen to MSE using Annotator from the FSX SDK.

If you delete them, you will see default scenery a short distance from your aircraft. -
I means that the default Addon Scenery folder has been deleted.

Oops, wrong airport :sorry:

Dem0004.bgl is the mesh for Samoa if this helps.
-
It has obviously been done by an addon developer who doesn't understand how FSX works. Any mesh of higher resolution than the default would override them without renaming.

The exclusion will be displayed in ADE as a model. In ADE, one can delete the model and add a proper exclusion rectangle. -

Issue creating photoreal scenery
GHD replied to klamal's topic in FSX | FSX-SE Scenery Design Forum - How To
I use tiffs with LZW compression from Gimp or PS and don't have a problem with blend/water masks made from FSET bmps. -
Yes, but as you have found, it will exclude a long stretch of road. As I said earlier, you will need to re-draw the missing pieces so that they connect to the default road at the boundaries.
-
Look in the Shp2Vec Tool section of the FSX SDK help.
-
In a word, you can't. Roads wiil be excluded to QMid11 boundaries, so, you will need to re-define the pieces you wish to keep.

IE8 is now working again -
Of course you can. You can have multiple folders defined in the FSX.CFG. eg: SimObjectPaths.6=J:\!FSXAircraft SimObjectPaths.7=J:\!AIAircraft SimObjectPaths.8=J:\!WOAI_Aircraft SimObjectPaths.9=J:\!FTXAI_AIRCRAFT SimObjectPaths.10=j:\!MAIW_Aircraft All of my add-on aircraft and AI arcraft are on a different drive from FSX. For scenery it is even simpler, copy/add the scenery to another drive and use Settings -> Scenery library to edit or add the new locations.
-
It is almost impossible to create real-world schedules. AI in FS rarely fly at more than 250kts.

Shannon is a little tricky being so near the coast. In fact I lowered the airport and created a set of flatten polygons:
