Because Wembley stadium serves no use to the training organisations that p3d is developed for- but you probably knew this deep down already 😀

Ive got a bit of an older rig (i9 9900k 3090) and would see this regularly when approaching London sometimes up to 5 seconds, so it will be great if SU13 has improved it
-
yes, this has been holding me back since v5 so once some screenshots appear I may bite the bullet and put P3D back on my PC

same for me, really annoying!

Micro stutters since update(s)
kand replied to Jack_Sawyer's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
if you are using a rolling cache try deleting it- I had major stutters with this build and this sorted it for me -

I find it very difficult to taxi this especially around 90deg turns- I have a dedicated hardware steering tiller and dont have issues with the other aircraft -
London City Airport (EGLC) - UK2000 vs ORBX
kand replied to The Flight Level's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
yes- it was reduced in length shortly after Concorde arrived to build the M11 motorway. I flew into Duxford a few years ago in a PA28, still a huge runway for what it serves, I would have been happy to land on the taxiway! -
London City Airport (EGLC) - UK2000 vs ORBX

G-AXDN landed at Duxford which was 6000ft overall with room to spare, granted Trubshaw was PIC and it had a parachute. All aircraft can often overachieve their stated performance because the numbers are corrected for line pilots, and mitigate mechanical stress The limiting factor is often the take off roll is longer than the landing distance required, this was definitely the case at Duxford -
yes was disappointed with Big Island, hoped to see updated high res textures but perhaps the imagery just doesnt exist Oahu was improved, especially the water masks around Honolulu

Yes, one axis is the scalar for thrust at sea level, the other is the N1. You want to increase the number at the corresponding N1 . Bear in mind this table is for corrected which means ISA values, 15c, sea level, 1013mb etc. The scalar represents to the static thrust value in the aircraft.cfg I always used to hack sim1.dll for each point release on p3d because lowering the friction coefficient actually corrects the error, unfortunately LM have never fixed this....
-
airfile, 1506 static thrust sea level. You will have to raise fN at the N1 level you want more thrust, which will also skew your idle fuel burn to burn more fuel Alternatively you could modify sim1.dll and reduce the rolling coefficient of friction, I have a few posts at fsdeveloper which explain what to do.

I can tell you that Aerosoft Australia was around long before the European version previously Lago or something. I communicated with Andrew who runs Aerosoft Australia back in the spring, and a lot of us purchased the original 747 MCP back in 2006 There is no cause for alarm here

There are other choices out there which you could use, but you might want to think about the future and not limit yourself to P3d solely, Prosim gives you this advantage. You could consider SimAvionics for a complete package like Prosim which really is excellent and good value for money. The downside is that although its regularly updated, the developer seems to be focussed elsewhere so "enthusiasts" only benefit from the direction the commercial enterprise is headed. A cheaper avenue you could look at is here- http://www.aerosoft.com.au/aerosoft_australia/home.html, its a great package for $50, you can interface using FSUIPC but this is P3d only although it works in MSFS to some extent. There is also Project Magenta, but I am not familiar with it really.

Triple screens using too much system
kand replied to chickster25's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Try reducing the off screen terrain caching to high or medium -
that is a really good point, and would absolutely kill p3d for me. I guess we can only hope that Microsoft open up their platform to allow 3rd party weather devs a market share (quasi support p3d) or accept that the end of ASP3D is inevitable on diminishing return v costs.
-
I read this as- p3d next version be prepared to be underwhelmed again.... why because of your opening sentence. Of course there will be a next version as the LM team still exist and have even said that some fixes are in the next release! Clearly you are on the inside given the amount of time you spend over at the official forum, so you are the (those who dont talk)

The updates have certainly slowed down, 2.3 years since v5 arrived, on the old frequency we would be headed for v6 release now not waiting for another point release. I really hope LM can make the truesky implementation at least on par with what the legacy environment could produce (dynamic wx areas) but I am not expecting much tbh and have sort of lost faith in the team now. Been a supporter since v1, as soon as SimAvionics move over to MSFS I will leave the P3d platform for good.
