  1. Problem is that at the moment there's maybe only half a deck of cards to play with (SDK state).
  2. As posted in the link above: you have to individually reduce the MIN size (in parenthesis), but specially the MAX size (by about 4-5 points). for all the vegation types. Some of the values, such as shrub, bushes might need less of a reduction, though.
  3. I edited the vegetation sizes a few days ago - much better looking than the default, highly recommended.
  4. While there might be one or two issues that I had hoped to see adressed in the first patch I fully understand the prioritisation applied. Surely, we can all agree that enabling everyone who has bought MSFS to actually install and play it should come first, right? Very happy to see that the simconnect issue has been adressed.
  5. and development roadmap, which we hope to release within the next few weeks! Not exactly my definition of shortly ...
  6. For me it's like this (with the -fastlaunch parameter used): 0:44 "Press any key" prompt 2:29 Main menu appears (I paused the stopwatch while I set up a flight) 4:35 Ready to fly Still much longer than P3D
  7. Well, guess what. That's because people keep creating new threads with out checking if the subject has been talked about already ...
  8. That's pretty simple - he knows what he is talking about! Which can't be said about the majority of the f@nboys in the MSFS forum. Make no mistake - I'm flying in MSFS as we speak, but the novelty is slowly wearing off, so I'll be back in my FSLabs A320-X on P3D v5HF2 later.
  9. Indeed - in fact, it's not even a proper AIRAC cycle. It should be of 28 days duration.
  10. I'm on V5 HF2 and can fly the FSL A320 from Simwings EGLL to Aerosoft EDDF Pro with no issues - and that is with 4K, max. VRAM seen is 5.5/7.1 But let's stay on the MSFS topic 😉
  11. Looks like it's finally possible to change the aircraft registration, he's using G-SQRL
  12. According to the video it will replace the ms navdata, which makes perfect sense. That way you will have what Magnus refers to as "unified navdata through the entire sim ecosystem".
  13. Not next week. Seasons maybe later, Choppers will be paid DLC: https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-dlc-updates-roadmap
  14. Hence the acronym Microsoft Sightseeing Flight Simulator ...
  15. Nothing personal about quoting what someone said on the internet ! Wanna avoid it? - stay off the internet 😉
  16. Thanks Kai (and everyone else involved), great news. One thing worthy of note is that the first launch of v1.0.1.0 will be quite long to cater for some of the new functionalties. Good news is that subsequent launches will be much faster because a lot of data is now cached. Oh - and one last thing - don't forget to read the included manual and quick-start guide!
  17. Rob, Let me just say that you're doing an admirable job of setting the record straight! Unfortunately, it is threads like this one that keep giving people the impression that V5 is "just lipstick on the old pig". P3Dv5 HF2 is for me the absolute smoothest sim I've ever had - and I exclusivly fly the FSLabs aircraft. I will surely load MSFS later this month to have a look around, but I'm convinced that the vast majority of my sim time for quite a while will be spent in P3Dv5.
  18. ... and then followed by: This is code that actually works. - as opposed to ??? Let's hope this is not another Aerosoft Kok-up 🙂
  19. Take a look at the FSDT forum (Basel airport). GSX will take a bit longer, as it needs a completed SDK.
