  1. I'll begin flying the real thing very soon so I hope they do a good job
  2. A Garmin nav data subscription or an aircraft owner with a nav data subscription who may be able to assist.
  3. Another PMDG update and the usual PMDG bashers come out of the woodwork. it's getting boring and predictable ladies and gentlemen.
  4. But you are now the master of your domain 😁
  5. If nothing was said then RSR would get flamed. He can't win either way.
  6. Give me P3D with MSFS graphics and I'm a happy camper
  7. Like I always say - you don't need to be a bright spark to be a pilot.
  8. Not sure why that would be the case if you have sufficient drive space etc. I have multiple sims installed and it presents no practicality problems.
  9. I think it very much depends on the country. In my country, it is very common to receive the instruction "when ready, descend to XXX". This means that the aircraft can descend from their own ToD point - I do it in my own aircraft using VNAV on my GTN750. I would imagine the airliner would simply activate VNAV until they receive instructions from ATC that precludes them from using VNAV. So much depends on the circumstances - traffic, weather etc.
  10. I would say the fickleness of simmers makes me think that.
  11. Some other developers that do that get slayed by the punters for taking too long. It very much depends on who the developer is as to whether they get cut that slack or not.
  12. As a practising Instructor I have never considered what the actual touchdown rate is, nor do I teach it.
  13. Go to most airfields in Australia that support "Airline Cadet" training schools and you'll see 172's flying downwind nearly 3nm from the field.
  14. I think most people who have been simming for any length of time would know to take that with a massive grain of salt.
  15. As a current instructor in the P68B I'd be curious to see what it is like, but these days I'm reluctant to laid down my cash on unknown quantities.
  16. It really is getting a bit like that. This includes Airbus - always another slant on the A32x family. If someone came out with a high fidelity long haul Airbus, a 787 etc then that would create some serious interest. Otherwise, yes, it is becoming boring.
  17. I quite like the Wizz Air livery
  18. Looks like a C5 Galaxy at the rear, 787 at the front and a BAE146 in the middle. Ugly.
  19. I'm no insider but I doubt that will be happening.
  20. The GTN is driven by the real Garmin Trainer aircraft owners use. It is a Garmin database that cannot be reverse engineered. Periodically it is updated when the Trainer is updated. See which is the latest Trainer the RXP supports and that might be a bit newer.
  21. You would need to get a very expensive subscription from Garmin or find someone with a real aircraft who may help you.
  22. Only in rural areas of Australia. In the cities, particularly in the inner-city areas, where the self-appointed "intelligentsia" live it is becoming more and more prevalent for people to be pretentious, and as we say out here, "up themselves".
  23. I guess I have an inquisitive mind. I find it fascinating to be able to get an insight into an ingenious system that took inter-continental flights past using bubble sextants long before GPS was even thought of. I guess that's just me 🤷‍♂️. Each to their own.
  24. The usual suspects who slag off at RSR's writing style, pricing policy, development time frame and general mocking just to name a few items. It is hardly "discussing" ... 🙄
