  1. Ralf, many, many thanks for your help. It worked like a charm. I had never used historical weather in any of the previous versions of Active Sky that I've owned. Again thanks very much for your help.
  2. Has anyone been able to use ASFS historical weather when planning a flight using Simbrief? Someone mentioned being able to do it in the previous 44 pages but I wasn't able to track down who it was. When I try to do it Simbrief times out before it can download the weather.
  3. It takes me about 5 minutes to set up a flight and once I connect I never look at the UI again.
  4. I'm holding off to see reports on how the performance is. The New York area is brutal as it is.
  5. Were we still using the 5 1/4 floppies still or had we upgraded to the 3.5's by then?
  6. The Alpha testing began in December of 2019. The presale was in early July of 2020 and the release was, as you said, in August of 2020.
  7. It knows that they are there but it does not control them.
  8. I'm going to give it a try. My TrackIR is almost 14 years old and nothing lasts forever. I've tried Tobii twice and just didn't care for it so I returned it. Let's see what this can do.
  9. I pushed back a lot of E175's and E190's in real life. This can't be any buggier than they were.😁
  10. The Challenger disaster was caused by a failure of the O-Rings in the solid rocket booster. The 737 Max-9 issue was caused by the failure to properly bolt the door plug in place, not really a failure of the seals.
  11. The original heritage liveries were done on the A319's. Since they've been redone they've been moved to the A320's.
  12. Great shots. I was hired by Allegheny Airlines in Cleveland, Ohio in May of 1979. I retired from American Airlines in January of 2016 in DFW. You covered both ends of my career. Here's a picture of the cleanest Allegheny Airlines plane I ever worked. Ok, it was US Airways painted in Allegheny livery.
  13. You might want to post this question in the official PMDG forum. The developers don't come here. https://forum.pmdg.com/
  14. I snagged them both because that's a part of the world I've never flown in before.
  15. Supposedly Honeycomb is under new management. For what it's worth, I own both the Alpha and the Bravo and have had them since December of 2021. Up until now I haven't had any issues with them. https://flyhoneycomb.com/
  16. I believe GSX now allows for forward towing. I don't know what it would do with a Beaver.
  17. Check and make sure that your RAM is properly seated in the slots.
  18. Go down to 8000 feet and chuck a couple of these morons out. Once word gets around people will straighten their acts up right now.
  19. I don't know what happened but the update before this one just trashed my performance. Now I get a message that my graphic settings are too high. I didn't change anything.
  20. I was notorious for doing that in the PMDG 777 in P3D.
  21. Very nice shots. BTW, the chief pilot would like you to give him a call. Something about a tail strike on take off.🤣
  22. Yep, that's it. We did about 110 mph in a van on that oval. It's a very beautiful part of the state. I miss it.
  23. Very nice shots. I didn't know Hawaiian Airlines had a Cirrus 22! I moved from Ohio to Texas 20 years ago. Compared to this place Ohio looks like the Rocky Mountains. BTW, when you were flying around Bellefontaine did you happen to see anything that looked like an oval racetrack? The Ohio Department of Transportation used to have a test track down there. I took a defensive driving course there in the 80's when I was teaching driver's ed.
  24. Hey, even humans aren't always aware of objects. The guys who did this didn't see the jetway.
  25. I was wondering why they didn't show any video of the landing. This is why. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/347642
