    I was just thinking the same thing. I live in the US but I fly in Europe a lot. To have live traffic I'll have to do my flights before early afternoon. I guess I can use AIG for evening flights.

    Yes, you can control how many AI you want to spawn.

    Here are a couple of shot of LAX. I'm spawning 80 aircraft and that's too many for my system. Like always, AI causes a performance hit. I don't think it's any worse than AIG. This program seems to have a lot of potential. I haven't had a chance to fly with it yet but I did see contrails of a flight passing overhead.

    Has anyone tried XP12 with live weather from Southwest Florida? I'm curious as to how XP12 depicts Hurricane Ian.

    I just did a departure from Fort Meyers (KRSW) at 11:00 am CDT. The surface winds at take off were at about 45 kts. They quickly grew to 80-90 kts. These shots were taken about 28 miles west of KRSW. It looks like this would be they eye of the storm. If that's true it's amazingly accurate. I know Norwegian doesn't operate out of Fort Meyers, I was just too lazy to change the livery.

    Until we see a video under those conditions we really don't know what the performance level will be like. I'll take any increase I can get but I'm not going to spend another $1500 for a new video card until my 2080 dies.

    Personally, if it helps performance at all, I’d be happy if they passed on doing the interior of the terminals. Heathrow is well done but is tough on the frame rates once you add ai traffic. I know London is bad anyway but LA is also a high traffic area.

    How is it as far as aircraft taxiing to and from the gate? I can remember there was an issue when the transponders were turned off that the aircraft disappeared.

    It’s got to be a massive undertaking to compile airline schedules that are anywhere near accurate. When I retired in 2016 the airline I worked for was changing schedules as often as every three weeks. I’m happy if I see the correct airlines at the airport I’m at.

    Chock, when I tried to explain what I did for a living, I would tell people to take everything they own, stuff it in their luggage, climb under their dining room table and stack that luggage up a few hundred times. That's how I spend my days.

    Unless it simulates standing in a deicing bucket in 30 kt winds with a windchill of -20 degrees F and propylene glycol spraying back in your face, then it's not realistic enough.

    I found the same thing. Even with eye tracking turned off Tobii seemed to jump around a little. Maybe it's just because I've been using TrackIR for so long. I always wear a headset so the TrackIR gear doesn't bother me.

    You know, we figured it out when we went from horses to vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. I’ll bet we’ll figure this out too. Especially if there’s money to be made.

    I paid $63 USD for the Fenix A320. That was for one variant so I would think at least $70 for multiple variants is reasonable. The bottom line is, whatever they decide to set the price at you'll make the decision whether you are willing to pay it. That's the market system.

    I was working a flight that returned to the gate due to rejected take off. It was a 737-400. He came back to let the brakes cool down for the requisite amount of time. When I went out to push the aircraft off of the gate I had to inform the captain that he wasn't going anywhere. Both tires on the right main gear were flat. The mechanic said the relief plugs had let go due to overheating.

    I just bought Heathrow. Very nicely done. It's probably comparable to the Asobo EGLL performance wise. Landing was in the higher teens with the Fenix Airbus and AIG traffic at about 70%. To be fair, the Fenix A320 can be a little heavy on frames. I'm running a 9700k@4.8 and an RTX 2080.

    Great shots. Boy, Asobo didn't give any love to KMSP. That's the saddest looking rendering of an international airport I've seen in this sim. Flightbeam better hurry up.
