  1. Careful, you're going to pull something waving those pom poms. 😄
  2. Cool. Now people are arguing over a process that hasn't been publicized yet.
  3. I was very critical of the weather system from day one. I was an Alpha\Beta tester from the start and it was apparent that the weather system just wasn't accurate. We all voiced our opinion as such. After release it had seem to improve and by the time SU6 had been released it actually wasn't too bad. I could live with it as it was. What we have now is much of what you get with an addon like Rex Weather Force 2020. You have the same kind of abrupt weather changes with that program. Hopefully this will work itself out to something that works for everyone.
  4. This may be a case of, "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it."
  5. Saw the same thing at Arlanda a few minutes ago. Should have been 3 thousand scattered and altimeter of 1003. The sim depicted clear as a bell and altimeter of 1013. Yes, live weather was selected.
  6. I used to complain about that in P3D. I just went outside to take a look. No clouds (they got that right), no haze (that they missed).
  7. I think they over did the haze just a bit. DFW looks more like Doha. Current KDFW metar: KDFW 181953Z 01015G22KT 10SM FEW250 17/M09 A3043 RMK AO2 SLP303 T01671089
  8. A wee bit foggy in Sydney today.
  9. I don't know. I haven't had a chance to work with it much.
  10. It takes a little time to figure out how it works but this is what you get in the end. This is at Fly Tampa's Sydney. The 787 is MSFS's. The others are AIG. I only installed a few airlines to start so there's not a ton of traffic.
  11. It's free. Maybe if AIG charged $40 for this it would be easier. I don't know.
  12. I own XP11, P3Dv5, MSFS, and DCS. I use all of them. Each offers something the others may not. Everyone has their reasons for why they fly a certain sim. It’s great to have choices.
  13. I grew up in Akron, Ohio in the 60's. During the summertime it wasn't unusual to have a Goodyear blimp flying around. Sometimes there were three or four.
  14. I believe Steve’s repaints that you see are from P3D. I have to believe the rollout will be the same as before. The 800/900 will be first with the 600/700 to follow as an add on. I could be wrong but this is the way PMDG has done it previously.
  15. So the last developer update from Fenix's website was October 8th. That's one week after PMDG's last update. Maybe these guys are just busy trying to complete their product.
  16. The airline I retired from had us doing walk arounds while we had line mechanics on duty. My question was, why am I ,a ramper, doing walk arounds when there are people trained to do it just sitting around? Never got an intelligent answer from management.
  17. When those shear pins break you know it. The tug goes one way and the tow bar and the aircraft go the other way that was not intended. I had the left rear wheel of the pushback fall completely off pushing a 757 one day. I thought I ran over a chock when the tug jumped. The captain called down and said, "Hey, the wheel came off of your tug." Fun times.
  18. This flight had to divert. I had heard that some airlines had sued the offender for the cost of diverting the aircraft, (landing fees, fuel, etc.) That's major dollars. I think a ban on flying on any airline would be appropriate.
  19. Allegheny/ US Air/ US Airways / American I started in 1979 with Allegheny in Cleveland and retired just after the merger with American in DFW. In 36 years I saw a lot of ugly incidents but nothing like the insanity we're seeing now. It's only been recently that the airlines have started to prosecute these people that physically abuse their employees. It's way too late and the punishments aren't harsh enough.
  20. Take the airplane down to 8000 feet, open the door and toss the offender out. Once word gets out the lunatics will stop. I know, too extreme. Spoken as a retired airline employee who ran into his share of abusive flyers.
  21. I worked for a major airline in the US from 1979 until 2016 when I retired. There were many times when that when through my mind when loading an aircraft. What if there happens to be an explosive in one of these bags? There are a lot of ways to die working on the ramp. That was not on my list of approved methods.
  22. We're coming up on almost 2 years since Tech Alpha 1 was released. Who knows when the countdown clock started. As long as they're making money the lights will stay on. If this thing ever becomes unprofitable, all bets are off.
