  1. There's an hour long special on the Dreamliner tonight at 9 ET on CNBC.Michael B.
  2. Downloading @ 3.5 mb/sec here in KY.Woohooooooo.Now I just have to get home tomorrow and open my four newegg boxes and do a little building before I can enjoy her. 50% downloaded and she's slowed to 633kb/sec.Michael Benton
  3. Bob, I had trouble getting the RXP unit to install in the Duke as well. What fixed my problem was I had two rxp.ini files. One was in my main Duke folder and one was in my Duke Panel folder where it should be.The one in my main folder was getting updated to correctly add the rxp unit to the Duke. However the rxp.ini file in the panel folder was not getting updated and this is the file that needs to be updated. So I just copied the ini file in the main folder and pasted it to the Duke panel folder. So if I were you I would look in my FSX/Simobjects/Airplane/Duke folder and see if you also have two rxp.ini files I hope this makes sense and that all the info is correct as I am in Boston tonight and a long way from my desktop in Ky.Hope this helps.Michael

I looked at their forums and only one person seems to have the same issue as you.He is using XP and he was told to re-download the installer using a different browser and without any download managers. He never reported back if this solved his problem.Michael
  5. Do you actually have one of these?I have the Garmin Mustang G1000 trainer and I can climb at 10,000 ft/min at all day long with it.Is that the reality you speak of. And I see people at their forums complaining of these same problems.I don't have a type rating in the Mustang but I have put about 50 hours on the hobbs and I have never seen the problem mentioned by the few here.Or is it only one that is having the problem?A couple are in the discussion talking trash about the autopilot yet probably don't even have the aircraft.Michael

    Here you go Frank.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=240125Michael
  7. I would certainly hope that the PMDG MD-11 is way more complex than the Flight1 Mustang given that's how it is in the real world.A multi crew aircraft versus a cerified single pilot aircraft. Both excellent I'm sure.Happy New Year,Michael
  8. Sure, why not?I have the right to do so.Just like you have the right to complain about me complaining about others.I don't believe members who are affiliated with other developers should come here and complain about other devs products. But this is just my opinion. As a paying cutomer Ryan has the right to voice his opinion I just think he should have gone about it differently that's all.I have every product PMDG has put out for FS9 and FSX besides the MD-11 and they are all exceptional products.I'll no doubt pick up the MD-11 as soon as they settle on a currency. In closing may I ask with your screen name are you a graduate of Yale? Dang now I'm craving Frank Pepe's pizza.Michael
  9. I agree the Mustang is terrific.I've flown nothing but since its release.Pairing it with ASA and flying LPV WAAS approaches into small airports in terrible weather is a blast.True the full database is missing but it's been mentioned to death that it's being updated but it doesn't seem to register with a few.I think most of the complainers are the same ones that complain about every release. Some even coming from Flight1's competitors who I guess thought they would get on here and complain as they sit watching the markets and try to figure out which currency they should charge in today.Anyways congrats to the Flight1 team for a job well done on the Mustang.Michael
  10. Have you guys that are having GS problems tried starting out using the saved flight that Jim provided ? I have shot 20-25 approaches at speed from just above stall to 160 kts and the AP holds the GS dead on. There are relatively few that are having this problem so to say Flight1 put out a product with a non functioning GS is not an accurate statement. I never had any GS problems prior using the startup flight.I never had any brakes once I landed but at least the GS worked.Michael
  11. A small jet that looks promising is the Flight1 Citation Mustang.http://mustang.flight1.net/forums/Michael
  12. http://flightaware.com/live/aircrafttype/You may have to register to view.If you click on the aircraft type it will list all of that type airborne in the US at that moment.Michael
  13. You should follow this thread over at sim-outhouse.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=72434Bill Womack (Dillingham,West Malling)is doing a write up of his latest scenery project from start to finish.Michael
  14. To access the new missions you have to go into multiplayer. You can access them by choosing Local Network(LAN) and then click on Sign IN and then chooose Host a Session, although you do not need to be connected to a LAN.Under session type choose mission, click next and you should see the missions listed. If you want to fly single just disable all racers except Racer 1(user).P-12C explains it here.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=446094#446533Michael
  15. >>All the preview shots just show the TAWS, but I have yet to>read comments on the WAAS.The WAAS is pretty incredible.I've spent the better part of two days trying to learn about LNAV+V and LPV approaches.I just did an LPV approach into Blacksburg VA in the Eaglesoft Citation II using real world weather and as I'm descending through the overcast, the AP is controlling the lateral nav and I'm doing my best to control the vertical, the terrain is popping on the 530W yellow on both sides and red behind me.Unfortunately I broke out of the overcast about 1000 feet before touchdown and landed in VFR but it sure was fun while it lasted. It was just like an ILS approach with the glideslope indicators showing on the Sandel except this time into an uncontrolled field with no ILS available. The only downside I've found so far is that because of the way some aircraft gauges are coded the glideslope may not show. The Flight1 PC-12 is one of these.I still get the G/S on the NAV Indicator in the PC-12 but not on the EADI like during a regular ILS.Michael
  16. >It's a pity the author apparently doesn't visit any of the>Panel & Gauge development forums, as the explanation for and>fix for this issue has been available since the time of FSX's>release.>>In fact, I even published some code that will automatically>detect whether FS9 or FSX is being used, and allows the same>"starter gauge" to be used in both sims... :-kewl If the simple pre-start checklist is followed correctly there is no problem with the starter switch.Michael
  17. I made the same error as you Steve.Being impatient I went ahead and purchased the complete version also. After getting no response from Simmarket as to whether I could get a refund for the standalone version, this morning Martin kindly gave me a full refund on the standalone version. My hats off to Martin for such incredible customer service.Michael
  18. >I highly recommend a really nice companion piece for St.>Maarten. Check out the scenery of Martinique and Guadeloupe by>France VFR. I love trekking back and forth between these>islands and St. Maarten in all sorts of aircraft. The>Caribbean in FSX is really very nice.>>LeeLee,1.Are these compatible with FSX SP2 Acceleration?2. Are the airports done with real life buildings or do they use generic buildings? Thanks,Michael
  19. I did the same thing Steve.Wish I had come here before buying.Oh well I went ahead and bought the complete pack also.Hopefully I'll get a refund or even store credit or something.Anyways, this is an incredible scenery package.Great detail and great FPS.Michael
  20. The SDK updates can be downloaded here.http://www.fsinsider.com/downloads/Pages/default.aspxMichael
  21. Kav, Try disabling one of your 8800's and see if there is a difference.I was running SLI but I seem to have better performance in FSX with only one card. That is a crazy high 3D mark score.I use 3dMark06 and my best score is 6500.But then again I only have an E6600,2GB Ram and a couple crappy old 7600GT video cards.Michael

  23. I had the FS9 version and it was really hard on my FPS so I was going to pass on the FSX version but the folks over at sim-outhouse are giving it some good reviews so maybe I'll get this one after all.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/show...?t=59044&page=3Michael

I hear ya.I check their site "several" times daily hoping for any news or screenshots. Now that SP2 is out maybe we'll see an update soon.I wonder if Bill is going to update the scenery that came with the FS9 version?Michael
  25. >Hi Ed. I bought the Accelerator the first day it was>available at Circuit City. I have the box, the CD and the>activation key. I did not pirate it like I am sure others have>done. There are all kinds of Torrent sites with it. When I saw>all of the posts stating what happened to existing aircraft>when it was installed I decided not to install it. I saw>nothing on the box that stated "Warning- This product might>cause damage to some existing installations". Best regards,>Bob. You should be complaining to the developers of those aircraft that are "damaged" and not blame MS.At least to the devs that are selling these aircraft as true FSX versions only to find out they are lame port overs that weren't built using the FSX SDK.Michael
