  1. Hi, Just reading your lead post and it seems that after pasting in your key and clicking you are expecting to proceed - it does not work that way .After pasting in the key and clicking, the sreen will fade away, you then restart RC and if all is well you will get the starting screen, which is green in colour for RC.
  2. Glen, Are you using a Flight Planner or are you just putting a route into the FMC? Do not use the in built flight planner within FSX as it is just not good enough! I use the 737NG and have had no trouble with my descent pattern in order to intercept the ILS.I have just landed at Leeds Bradford. Can you post your full route and aircraft set up and I will check it out for you. Many RC user fly this aircraft and problems are seldom seen with this combination
  3. Hi, This might be a silly suggestion but what happens if you increase the download interval to say 15 mins.Your system might be getting clogged up with such a short interval.
  4. Hi, You can do some things to help you in that situation. Download AI Smooth ,a small program which helps in moving AI traffic out of the road of your plane. The second is to look at Active Sky and make sure that you are using it in the best possible way.A search of the AS forums will help. If you are using AS with DWC on and the arrival weather locked try, when within 50 miles of your destination refreshing AI traffic which you can do from the report page. This should ensure that the AI traffic are using the same runway and in the same direction as you. Some add-on sceneries allow you to select which runways you want to use - make sure that you do not have any conflicts in that department. One long established tip is that when flying flights up to 3/4 hours duration before taking off make a note of your arrival weather(RW pilots get this info too)Then when you get your arrival ATIS you can then compare the two of them. You may find some small differences but at least you can be sure that the same weather is being seen by all elements in the FS.FS itself,RC and The AS program!
  5. Guys, You can use the performance Manager now!
  6. Guys, You got the principle right but the distances are incorrect. When descending you are asked to be down to your approach altitude within 30 miles. The handover to approach contol takes place between the 40/37 miles to run.Make your fix and use/40 and you will always have that visual reminder.
  7. Hi, I have used RC4.3 for many years and would not fly without it. I have tried other products including PFE which I found required a lot of setting up as well as requiring a lot more time to complete pre flight preparations. Alternative voices are available for RC.A user of RC,Meatwater, remastered the voice wavs and posted these files on Avsim. Many RC users have them and seem to like them.
  8. Hi Wayne, Make sure that you have the d version of FSUIPC 4.82 .Pete found a small problem at the end of last week or the one before.I notice that FSUIPC latest is 4.823. My ATIS info was correct when I last used FSX. I am using FS9 at present doing some flight testing!
  9. Hi Tilo, I have used Radar Contact with the Airbus without an issue such as the one which you descibe. Can you post full details of your route /flight etc including posting the full route so that I might be able to help you.
  10. Hi Chuck, I have used AS products for many years and following some advice many years ago from Ronzie,I use a method which eliminates most problems. I start the weather program, noting the departure and arrival weather, and then FS,putting the aircraft to the departure gate.I finish my aircraft checks and FMC workby which time the weather will have had one refresh.(Set to 15mins) I then start RC,allowing things to settle I call up ATIS via the RC menu.It is always correct when I compare it to the weather noted earlier. I fly on to the descent and wait until i am within 70 miles of my arrival airport when I refresh the weather and AI traffic. At 50nm to go I listen to arrival weather and find that except for some minor changes it is in accordance with the weather noted earlier.I complete my flight. My usual flights last up to 3hrs but even flying the odd long haul I use similar methods.
  11. Hi David, I have done countless flights into EGLL and have never had a problem like the one which you describe. Using the range ring method I am usually down to crossing height about 4 miles before the ring. Local pressure readings in the UK are all around the 5000/6000ft mark and until that altitude you should remain at standard pressure.I never use the "B" key always a manual adjustment.
  12. Hi, If you look in FAQ you will see an item about Library Files. You can download the Library Files folder and Run it.All should then be repaired.
  13. Hi Jacob,One tip that I was given many years ago,by a Radar Contact regular was that when you first get the weather for your flight plan, take a note of the current destination weather. You can at that point in time put into the FMC your best guess as to the Star and landing runway in use. When the arrival ATIS is available you can then make adjustments. You do have the ability to fly both a full SID and STAR with Radar Contact.
  14. Hi Chuck, It is OK.When the files were re-mastered some filed were consolidated. Go ahead .
  15. Hi,Yes,along with the other suggested settings.I do not fiddle with the settings. The developers have tried to indicate which settings suit the product so ,unless I am not happy ,I tend to leave the settings alone!
  16. Hi,Just to update the Norwegian situation,CI 15 is used on all domestic flights as a standard. All other flights to other countries use a CI of 40.If however the plane is running late through say, airport delays the Captain may increase the CI of 15 to a figure not exceeding 40.Norwegian use a standard descent spedd of 260 knts in accordance with an E agreement in Northern Europe.
  17. Hi,EGLC -EGPF tonight with the new FSUIPC dll and found no problems at all using my methods. The AS Atis also worked in the correct manner.Norman
  18. Hi Peter,I for one appreciate your support.I have installed the update and on a short flight all was OK.I Had only noticed a short lag on finals!
  19. Hi,I used both frequencies with similar results.I will detail how I set up my FSX.i Use FS build to export the route to RC and FSX.I start AS2012 and let it process the Flight Plan.I then press the FSX button and wait for FSX to load.I position the aircraft,PMDG737NGX -800 at the departure airport and allow weather to settle.I complete the aircraft set up by which time I have had an automatic weather refresh(Every 15mins).At ESGG last night the only change from the original weather was a slight wind speed varience of 5 Knots. At this point I pressed.refresh followed by refresh AI. I asked for the ATIS information ,and following your comments .I first of all used AS2012 ATIS,both frequencies, and found that each gave the arrival info.I switched to RC ATIS and found it to be correct.(Not surprised)I used FSUIPC 4.812 and apart from some lag on arrival all of the info was correct.I will try another flight tonight using the revised Dll from Peter Dowson.I am not anticipating any problems.Over the years of using AS products,I have always refreshed the weather prior to getting clearence. This was some advice given to me long ago on the RC forum! It has never let me down unless I have a senior moment!
  20. Hi,Just done ESGG -ESSA without a problem.I did use AS2012 ATIS at ESGG and found that it was reporting ESSA conditions not ESGG conditions. When I used RC ATIS all was correct. As I posted earlier,I have not found any problems at all.I do make sure that everything loads and then just to make sure I refresh thweather and AI at departure aircraft and have always used RC ATIS.
  21. Hi,I cannot let your comment about the interface between As2012 and Radar Contact pass without a comment.Since AS2012 came out I have not had any instance when the ATIS broadcast by Radar Contact for departure has been different from the weather as shown in AS2012.I have flown over 50 flights since AS2012 came out without a problem. Are you using the latest Beta SP1 and are all the other bits like FSUIPC up to date?If you have a Radar Contact problem drop a post on that forum too.I do not use 122.00/122.02 with R C.
  22. Hi Matthias,It would be as well to check out the respective timelines on all of the weather charts in order to ensure that they are covering the weather/winds forecast within a short given period of time.Weather stations report at varying intervals.Another check to make is to see which weather station is being reported. This can vary.In AS2012,if you want the upper winds all you have to do is input the four digit code for the airport and the winds are reported up to FL49/49000ft.In order to cover the full route of flight you may need to do this several times. You can export flight plans into AS 2012 and by doing so this gives the upper winds for all of the en-route points .Are you just putting the route into PMDG,FMC manually or are the routes created by other means?I use FSBuild and also vroute for my flight plans and have used them with AS2012.In the real world according to a friend who is a pilot, fuel planning is a gamble at times. You plan for delays ,none occur. You can be diverted without notice etc.
  23. Hi Robert,I have used AS2012 since it came out and have not had any connection issues at all.I suspect that I am not the only one not seeing this behaviour! This seems to indicate a problem with your set up so it might be an idea if you could post in full what your set up is and what planes and other add ons you are using. This will give the guys some in depth information to work with.
  24. Hi,I have read that some folks had to uninstall EZDOK and then reinstall once the 737NGX was loaded due to odd things happening.Other than that I cannot suggest anything else.
  25. Hi Jack,Greetings from Colne!First, upgrade to the SP1 Beta. Are you importing a Flight Plan into AS2012?If you are ,do you having completed the import check the information in all of the boxes before pressing the process button? This has happened to me once when flying in Norway.I repeated the flight paying attention to the boxes and when I inputted the correct information the temperature problems disappeared .I have not had these problems again-touch wood!It may be worth a check .
