  1. I went ahead and uninstalled the previous version, and then installed this new version. Like others noted here, definite improvement in performance. Nicely done, ImagineSim!
  2. Does this require uninstalling the previous version of KATL 2016 for P3Dv4 before using the wrapper reinstall option?
  3. I agree 100% with Matthew (use everything he has listed in his post), and Mark. I select my routes in Flightaware, then build my flight plans in PFPX, utilizing AS4 for live weather and TopCat for t/o & landing data. I also use Navigraph for AIRAC/FMS data (PMDG A/C) and online charts. In the past I used FSBuild and FSCommander. Still use FSCommander for GA flights. I highly recommend PFPX. It is a great product.
  4. I am currently using PF3 and Pro-ATC/X, alternating between the 2 every few flights. Still can't decide which one to stay with as they both have strengths and weaknesses. Although I seem to be using Pro-ATC/X more, lately.
  5. I recommend you look into and consider either Radar Contact 4, PF3 or Pro-ATC/X. They are all great for tubeliners and work with P3Dv4, as well.
  6. Well, I believe it is about time we finally have a 5 star developer producing a much needed KATL. Hat's off to FlyTampa for deciding to create KATL. It would not hurt my feelings at all if they elected to do KDTW, either.
  7. PFPX offers more flexibility than SimBrief. For example, you can use different weather programs (Active Sky, REX, FSGRW, or online), adjustable weight and balance internally and with TOPCAT, plus with PFPX it is a lot easier to modify current and saved flights. I have used both and highly recommend PFPX if you have the funds for it along with Navigraph or Aerosoft's navdata.
  8. I wonder if doing an exclude in Couatl's addon.ini would work (in your appdata\roaming\Virtuali\ folder). I was getting zero gates at LatinVFR's KMIA until I added an exclude line for the ZMIA little rogue empty airport bgl in the [gsx] section as follows: airport_visibility_zmia = 0 change zmia to whatever name you have for the MyTraffic MDPC bgl, leaving off the .bgl, save the file (backup first before editing - sure you do that as rule of thumb) reactivate your MyTraffic MDPC bgl and see if that wakes GSX up for you. For more detailed info, check out page 24 of the GSX manual. It is a bit different from the example in the manual being that the MyTraffic bgl resides elsewhere, but if GSX already wants it back, it seems to know its whereabouts, so my thought is that this might just work. Worth a try, anyway. Hope that resolves your problem, Ray.
  9. Perhaps that would be something good to pass on to Oliver and see if he would be able to include scan for duplicate AFCADS in AddOn Organizer or perhaps create a new app, due to the inherent nature of P3D SDK protocol.
  10. I never knew there were this many fans of the NGX compared to the 777 and 747. I admit, I am a PMDG 737 NGX geek, but am able to exercise some restraint.
  11. This is why they normally don't release any dates. All they did was give in to the masses and let them know potential time frame for release, but it tends to open up cans of worms from many over anxious posters.
  12. That is odd, my files do not include \scenery in the path for any of the FB or FSDT sceneries I have. In fact, the Runways.txt and xml files in my P3Dv4 root directory, after running Makerwys, have all the respective FB and FSDT airport sceneries I own.
  13. I would think you could just reload the default current base profile in NPI and then try importing the saved profile. If you don't have P3D or whatever sim currently running (you did not mention the sim), it should allow you to import. If you still get the message that the profile is still in use, run Task Manager and see if your sim is still running.
  14. Might be worth a try as Flight1's refund policy is great if you don't like the product.
  15. I am willing to bet that LM neither considers nor categorizes P3D as a game!
  16. Excellent shots! I really like the moon silhouette image.
  17. Well, herein lies the advantage of being a sim. If we don't like it, we don't have to buy/fly it. Dimensions of the captains window - if it is a no no for you, so be it. To me, that is rather miniscule compared to access and view of the vc. It is not a deal killer for me. I don't use HUD, and I'm not miffed at PMDG for providing a quality product and vc with a bit of window-frame-size sacrifice. I don't see hundreds or more sim pilots blasting PMDG for the window size issue. Again, I don't see a large number blasting iFly for lesser quality vc. We are in the vocal minority in these regards, so, we've spoken our opinions. I'm done.
  18. I'd rather be able to clearly see the various vc panel sections and easily access the knobs/switches, sacrificing a bit of window dimensions than be 100% type accurate and have to rely on 2D panels. Also, I don't use ezdok or other addon camera software or track ir, so that is not an option for me.
  19. I fail to see how dimensions can be such a critical item (PMDG don't appear to be way off) for a PC sim when graphics resolution vary from system to system. I don't notice a DRASTIC difference and to me, if it is solely the captains window size being a bit different in size between the two, that is being quoted and having a finger pointed to, well, I must admit, it is no where near as big of a difference compared to vc quality. YMMV.
  20. I'm really surprised there are so many who feel the iFly 737NG vc looks as good as the PMDG NGX vc. I just can't see the similarities, as IMHO PMDG vc is far better in appearance and 3d detail (knobs & switches). I have had both PMDG & iFly 737's since FS2004 and have the iFly P3Dv4 version to tide me over until PMDG releases theirs.
