  1. But of course. Performance of duties in regards to Flight Simulator friends is what I live for! Though I may be a lurker on the forums, rest assured that I am still watching.
  2. Very well put, Jhan Beta testing comes with alot of commitment to making a product useful and well refined, not a chance to impress friends or get a early look.
  3. I might add that your power supply might also not be up to specs to run your new equipment. Low wattage power supplies or defective power supplies have been a good source of blue screens in my experience.
  4. The nose is the same, just have to lean over the brow.
  5. Do you have DC power applied to the plane? Without power you are going to have a hard time getting gyros to move.
  6. PMDG 737NG (FS2004) , saw an advertisment in PC Pilot and was amazed. Bought the plane and my head was instantly thrown into a tail spin with the realism that it provided for the time. I soon found myself being the first to board commerical aircraft to discuss systems with the pilots (nothing like learning from the real deal), and watching their jaws drop from the questions I was asking all because of a simulation. Was a great time in my life to learn about aviation and have been progressing my dreams ever since.
  7. Fabio,This is correct. Purple just isnt a color most people anticipate seeing in the cockpit :)
  8. As Paul stated I had the same issues in early beta when I would load and old panel configuration into a newer software release.Delete your old configuration and try rebuilding it if you have installed and hotfix's
  9. I was going to recommend looking and comparing NAVDATA (ver.). If simroutes uses an older database then that could help explain the difference once it is inported into the CDU.
  10. This is an issue with FSBuild and not the NGX. Have you verified that your directory for your saves is going to the correct area? (under the options directory)
  11. I can tell you what you get:You will get the most immersive and realistic Boeing 737 NG simulator ever created for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is my opinion and not backed by any facts other than what I make :) wait a bit longer and you'll agree
  12. with the NGX being a primarily virtual cockpit aircraft you will definately want to get a Track IR type system. I was always on the fence about the purchase but after I got it I was amazed that I waited so long to purchase one.Get one and you will ask yourself...how did I go without?
  13. Steven,You will be quite happy with the NGX. She is a plane that will allow you to be as realistic as you want, or just keep it simple. Oh course you will still need to learn a few basics to get the systems online and the engine started, but is easily learnable.
  14. I would ensure that I could buy them both. I love the MD-11 just because the plane and systems are different. The MD-11 is just a plane that always is a dream to fly, I will fly other planes but I always find myself climbing back into the MD-11 seat. NGX is an awesome plane as well and everyone will be quite pleased when she is released. Take it from me, you will be happy with either plane but I would suggest you get both.
  15. To answer your question: yes the MD-11 has windshear warnings
  16. Have you verified your crossing waypoint information in your FMC?What information does your FMC decent page display? Are you using any 3d party weather generation?
  17. Yes a very good film. I enjoyed it!
  18. In no way do I have a powerhouse computer and I am getting very decent frame rates on the NGX. I only seem to see slow downs in scenery intensive areas, but this happens regardless of what plane I fly.The systems, the looks, and the craftsmanship is what you can all be assured you'll receive upon release.
  19. Dedication! I hope your flight goes well and is maintenance free.Is this to be flown online? What call signs will you use?
  20. Well I am thinking a could pilot the A380 on the ground. The procedure used onboard: Drive around with no concern (after all your the largest bird), wait until you here a thump or grinding noise, apply brakes!
  21. Glad to here that you got it fixed David. Its all ways nice to finally nip the small annoyances out of FSX to make a quality experience.
  22. I don't think there is really a need nor are you going to persuade PMDG to hurry one program and drop another. Let the future programs unfold as the teams get done with them. Though the 777 is typically a long range aircraft flight simulator allows you to fly it in a short route environment.Think outside the box and try something new from time to time. Mix it up!
  23. Well I think the thread was started as an avenue to express opinions about the A380....I for one think the A380 project is a great success as far as size, automation, and efficiency. I often wonder though if airbus missed the mark by building suck a large plane for travel in a shrinking infrastucture. I guess the amount of final orders will be a testament to an ambitious project.
  24. I just love the brutal honesty of this reply ;)
  25. I am sure I could land the plane, just not to sure how many onboard would survive.
