  1. Aerosoft Airbus A318, 19, 20, 21 Majestic Q400 (don't care what it will cost for this one.) Orbx Vector and their airports.
  2. If you are not using a 30 hz monitor, try turning off the vsync and the triple buffering. As a side note, I have my frames locked at 32 in the sim, and do not have any stutters. Of course, I do not have any heavy hitter aircraft installed yet, either. Waiting on the Aerosoft scarebus, and the Majestic Q.
  3. That's quite the history lesson, Chock. An unfortunate series of events in a very troubled time. I don't think either nation, US or Japan, is too keen on losing face in this case. Now, can you tell us what they did with Elvis? LOL!

    P3D Longevity

I agree Bobsk8. I also know that a good number of simmers do not bother with the Avsim, Flightsim forums. As I was told by a good friend of mine recently as to why he prefers the FB community, "Too many shills running them places..."

    P3D Longevity

I would bet that LM sold well over 15000 copies of P3Dv4 on the first day release.
  6. Thank-You, for this Oliver. It is very much appreciated. Cheers
  7. Happy Birthday, Canada! Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks. Stay safe everyone.
  8. You are only getting 17 fps? What do you have for a pc? Tandy1000? Seriously though, comparing my config files from P3Dv3.4 and P3Dv4, and then adjusting P3Dv4 to match, I am getting a little more than double the frame rate. Using the default F22, Orbx PNW, FSDT Vancouver with GSX, and AS16, providing the thunder storms. fps counter in the sim shows 68. As vgbaron said, "Smooth is smooth"
  9. Get rid of the saitek drivers and software. You do not need it. Windows will install the drivers it needs, automatically. Afterwards, you should be able to test and calibrate your controllers inside the win10 control panel "devices and printers" window. For the basic saitek controllers (yoke/throttle quadrant), there really is no need for additional software.
  10. or build an ingenious, never seen before, fog machine!
  11. Flightbeam dumping the couatl engine? Interesting. Expect frame rates to tank on their sceneries after that happens. Although, I agree with their decision. The only bright spot about the couatl engine is that it runs outside the sim. FSDT's python script is nothing but trouble. Also, I am sick of being used for a beta-tester for their software. hasta la vista,
  12. If you are adventurous, each avatar view is assigned a guid identifier. The 3rd person (above/behind) view is the default. If you swap the guid for the 1st person view with the 3rd person view, it may result in the 1st person becoming the new default view for the avatar. This is without having to save any scenarios. edit; i tried swapping the guid's between the default view and the 1st person no model, with no luck. The 3rd person view remains as default avatar view. I'm going to stick with saving the scenario, and ctrl+shift+e into the cockpit after I've completed the walk-around.
  13. Ok, I get what you're saying. The only way I have found to do this is to save the scenario. ie; using the default a36. I enter avatar mode, with the avatar standing just behind the plane, and setup the 1st person view, and save the scenario. The A36 will be saved as well. On restart, select that scenario again, and it will open up with the avatar sitting beside the A36 in the 1st person view point. Unfortunately, the views that I had set in the A36 have changed back to default. This something that maybe should be mentioned to LM. ps, if you save this as the default flight, the 1st person view with the avatar sticks. I just tested this by starting P3D and selecting the F35 in the scenario menu. The sim loaded with the avatar standing beside the F35. 1st person view was still set. As long as you do not mind starting your sim session in avatar mode standing outside your 737, you should be good to go.
  14. When in avatar mode, right click on the screen. The popup menu has selections for what you are looking for.
  15. Reduce your texture resolution and your cloud density back one notch.
  16. Maybe when chase plane reaches maturity, it will be worth the investment. But, right now ez-dok is the bees knees. The new camera effects and observer modes, are simply amazing.
  17. They are not going to release any of their airports until 'objectflow' is ready.
  18. Thanks for the tip, because FSUIPC5 is not recognizing my 2nd throttle quadrant. I will try the old ini, to see if it will work in this case. edit; no luck 2nd Saitek quadrant is not being seen.
  19. You mean, he can finally 'retire"?
  20. Thanks guys, for the heads up. A big, Thank-You, Mr. Dowson. Your work is truly amazing.
  21. An update for FS Force was released yesterday. You will find it on the downloads page http://www.fs-force.com/download.htm Yes, it works very well indeed in v4.
  22. Folks, you need to be aware that there are some functions that are not available in FSUIPC5, yet. ie, mouse macros. Check out Pete's support forum for a run-down of what is and isn't available. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/83448-fsuipc5-status-and-what-is-missing/ And, yes absolutely, FSUIPC is a must buy.
  23. Considering that P3dv4 is coded in, and uses, dx11. Win10 will not have any advantage over Win7 in that respect. Win10 is better at a lot of other things, but whether you will see any improvements inside P3D is up for debate.
