I’ve been having to turn up the radio volume to hear ATC, after every start. Before the first patch, it would default to a reasonable volume without intervention. Asobo and their regression bugs.

If you could use default airports as a start, it wouldn't be a big deal even with the SDK.

1. I've been able to access and read the official forums without logging in, both desktop and mobile. Just did again just now. 2. Sure it can be used offline. Just disable your net connection. Though if you don't have your area cached, you might not like how it looks.

YWG: After doing a drone fly through for photos, then a comparison drone flight over default, I think this is well worth it. The default looks so bland by comparison. Even where Simaddons has used default buildings, the placement is a much better fit. And then there are the signs, as mentioned. There a few quirks. They didn't take the time to redo the airport vehicle textures (Halifax, really?) They ended up taking out some "better than nothing" vehicle photograms (military trucks and water bombers), but in the process, brought back the photogram CFB fire station and trucks. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmR4c7iw

Radio is dim, and volume needs to be turned on. Is that something that can be saved in the config?

The website screenshots are a pretty good indicator of what they give you. I might post some of the Shell aero and Avitat areas, later. I think it’s a good $10 Canadian overpriced. The terminal hotel, Greyhound and Canada Post facilities are just stock. No BK117 or water bombers. They didn’t even bother to change the Halifax logo on the vehicle liveries. It’s a shame the bigger studios don’t seem to think there is a market for this airport.

Kelowna is quite a bit smaller.

If it were just the parking spots, it wouldn’t be very difficult. But as of now, there is no way to modify default airports. You’d have to remake the whole thing from scratch.

FltPln Go has the US and Canada pretty well covered for the charts and moving map, but the Windows app has been discontinued, leaving just IOS and Android for a sim connection. I plan to switch my Navigraph sub to just data. Haven’t tried the flight planner.

The autogen isn’t perfect, but it still looks much better/more plausible than XP11, especially the placement. Xp11 can use orthos, but it still suffers from “autogen/if you know the area” even worse than m$fs. Except the airports. Many consist of buildings of the right size and placement, except they look like houses, rather than hangars. Others have parked cars in the right places, but they’ve forgotten to include any buildings. Not just the smaller airports, either. If msfs needs to copy anything, it’s the Airport Gateway model.

Yes, he seems to have a habit of releasing aircraft that are unfinished, then remain that way.

Apparently they’re on the SimConnect issue. The SDK includes a way to skip the fanfare.

Bradm73 is a real (former) pilot, although he’s doing some of the external camera “enjoy the scenery thing“ at the moment.

Can you set them independently in MSFS settings? Rather not use nvidia surround.

Many have tried, for years, but no one has been successful, at least for flight sims. The problem is software integration. It's a major obstacle, even with title dev support. Maybe when the headset makers come up with official gloves, it will happen. Facebook have teased prototypes in years past, obviously the tech isn't quite here yet, never mind with haptics.

That was included with VR1 beta (alpha?). Besides, nowhere on that page (or any other) does it say or even hint that 11.20 is nearing Final.
