    I mean the AFCAD files. It's a small file which contains some basic info for an airport, like runways, taxiways, navigation frequencies, etc. It's not as complicated as scenery packages, but I use it just to make sure my airport is up-to-date. In AVSIM library there is a category called AFCAD files.

    Exactly. One of the items on my "before starting FSX checklist" is "AFCAD update - checked", and this has been working well.

    Why did you use FLCH for visual approach? FLCH won't do the job. No offence, but I don't see the reason to use FLCH after you intercepted the glideslope.

    I think it's a problem too. In the report of AF447, this thrust lever issue is mentioned. And there were actually a few incidents before that crash involving the same issue.The speed drops without being noticed by pilots (after AT disengagement I think), resulting low airspeed.

    The time zone in FSX is buggy. I remember there is a way to fix it, but you can always set the UTC instead of local time.

    I know this is frustrating, but your post will not help unless you give more information about the crash.

    Because then you have to buy -300ER and -200ER expansion pack. If -300ER is in base package, less people will buy -200LR/F. It's just a guess.

    I think it's reasonable. In that situation, you won't use MCP at all. That may be the reason.

    This guide is so useful. I think FMC calculates V-speeds automatically, can you confirm that? BTW, why you don't calculate takeoff distance from the charts provided in FPPM than tables? Wouldn't that be easier? FCOM has some of these tables. You can still calculate takeoff distance, but only with one flaps setting. (e.g. only the tables for flaps 15 is included, not flaps 5 or 20)

    Yes this is wake turbulence simulated by Active Sky. I'm pretty sure because I have experienced this before.
