FSX/Buttkicker/5.1 Sound System
I had sent an email to Creative about their USB card and they confirmed that using it would not solve my problem of wanting to split the audio. I'm pretty confident this is something I just have to live with but I do appreciate the reply's.

Actually just purchased OPUS and this may even be causing more issues with the audio. I'll continue to experiment.

FSX/Buttkicker/5.1 Sound System
Thanks for the quick reply. I heard of that product and will check it out. Just to clarify what I'm trying to do. At times I have sound issues (excessive humming/clipping?) and don't know if it's because I''m splitting the audio output from my legacy audio output (on the motherboard). I send one side to the Buttkicker and the other to the Front Speakers of my sound system. I thought this might be the problem and maybe even a ticket to better sound quality.

FSX/Buttkicker/5.1 Sound System
I have a question I'm hoping someone can give me an answer to. Is there a way to split the audio output in FSX to separate the signals going to both my Buttkicker and 5.1 Sound System. Currently I'm using a splitter plugged in my motherboard Legacy Audio Output. Some people suggest buying a Creative Go Pro USB card, but inside the FSX program you have to choose one device for 'voices' for which I use USB headphones for ATC, and one device for 'sound'. Of course my selection is the Legacy Audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Scott

TrackIR Question
I as well have been dealing with this. I have my IR-5 programmed with a file I downloaded called 'Seth' that seems to give me the viewing freedom that works best for me. Many others have downloaded this file. I think it's just gonna take a steady head along with a little practice. But that darn shimmering...... I also have the pause programmed as well as reset and use this for takeoff. Good Luck

FSX hanging issues
For the last couple months when I open FSX I've been having more and more frequent hanging issues. Sometimes I never got past the opening screen, sometimes after clicking an aircraft, and sometimes after entering a saved flight. Then I had to use Task Manager to escape the froze program. So I started the troubleshooting. After unplugging hardware one by one with no results I thought I would change my opening saved flight to a basic airstrip and default aircraft C172 and for the last week I've had no issues. For whatever reason changing my opening screen saved flight seems to have solved my problem. What's strange is that this is how I've always ran FSX and this problem just started getting progressively worse. Anybody else with similar situation or feedback on this topic?

SibWings Release Their An-2
This plane is absolutely. gorgeous. Visuals and sounds are fantastic. Have a few issues that hopefully get resolved with an update, mostly switches and having to start with a default Cessna. You can't get better value for your money than this. As some others have noted you can help yourself with the difficult steering and modify the aircraft.cfg file if you don't mind cheating a bit. Makes things a lot easier in small airstrips. Changing 180 to 50 worked great for me as well.

Best Bush Aircraft
Sounds like I gotta get this. In FSX by default the A and S keys change views. Can you program say 3 views and scroll thru with one key press? Screenshots welcome! Thanks for the feedback. How does the weather processor compare to REX which I currently have?

Buttkicker & NGX
Without a doubt.

I'm not familiar with Opus. I customize my views in the .cfg files and would like to know the advantages of this add on. I'm guessing maybe you can pan up and down where I'm limited to 3 axis being left/right, up/down and forward/aft.

Best Bush Aircraft
I noticed the PNG scenery has lots of airstrips in the package. Unfortunately nothing difficult is shown in the screenshots. Are we talking about numerous short runways with inclines and difficult approaches with trees etc? It looks interesting. I agree that ORBX doesn't offer a lot of difficulty, but I find between adding some wind conditions and bringing in the RealAir Duke (for example) into Fall City I can get, at times more than I bargained for.

I have a 'Colt' in my sights............SibWings rocks!

Buttkicker & NGX
I had no success using subsonic frequencies so I just used a splitter at the front speaker output and ran it directly to my secondary amp that drives the buttkicker. I do think it's very beneficial (if possible) to isolate your chair/seat from all else even if it means setting it up on a platform with rubber bumpers underneath. I have the luxury of a steel fabrication shop and went over the top, but if you can connect the 'shaker' to the seat and nothing else you will truly be in for an add that holds it's own with other great add on's like REX, Track IR5, PFC controls, etc.

Failed to mention that I do have the BN2 Islander and C337 but gonna do some checking on some of the other suggestions. Thanks mates

Best Bush Aircraft
Just purchased the 'North American Airstrips volume 1' and got reminded how much I enjoy bush flying. Any suggestions on some aircraft I can add to my collection? Currently I have the SibWings bird dog, Aerosoft wilga, Aerosoft beaver, RealAir scout.

Big Plasma as main monitor
scottthefsxguy replied to richy44's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI've done the single small monitor and 3 monitor setup and never could get fully immersed so I am now using a 60" led monitor from about 3' away and the immersion is incredible but there is a compromise on clarity but worth it to me.

Thinking of buying the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with Three-Lever Throttle (PZ44
Also..................I do like the Saitek over the CH Products.

Thinking of buying the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with Three-Lever Throttle (PZ44
My flight simming began some 10-15 years ago with CH Products and I eventually upgraded to Saitek which IMHO is an upgrade. However, I did grow tired of the plastic and imperfect sliding action so I bought a new PFC yoke, rudder pedals and throttle quadrant. This is a no brainer if you can afford it. These controllers gush quality and after using these I would give up flight simming before I'd go back to the hardware I replaced. For the average user they certainly suffice but like I said........... Scott

New to FSrealWX
I've always loaded real world weather in the FSX program and would like to know how exactly to load the weather through this program. I have it installed already but need help. I can't seem to find any information online. I do have FSUIPC paid version installed.

No Love For Default Aircraft?
I second that.
- Any interest in a 3rd Party ATC that could run on a separate PC?
