  1. Just tested the BiologicalNanobot Mod in v5.3 HF1 and its working great, thanks a lot! Night sky seems to be very bright though, is there a way of tuning that as well?

  3. 466.47 also gave me crashes after the Loading reached 100% (no PMDG product installed). Reverted back and it works again
  4. Everything is under NDA of course but maybe we will see some third party Tools adding compatibility for 5.2 when its close. At least this has been an good indication for an imminent Release jn the past
  5. I must say clouds with v5.1 HF1 and the latest Active Sky build have never looked more horrific
  6. Thanks @simbol The Global section was also missing on my end. Last complete reinstall of P3D was when 5.0 came out. The following updates I did with the component installers. After deleting the VolumetricClouds.cfg and starting P3D the global section is there
  7. Seems like we are having good times ahead of us regarding GPUs. AMD is finally really pushing Nvidia and if the 6900 XT is as good as they promised I am almost sure that Nvidia will bring a 3080ti to the table
  8. Also hoping for a hotfix before the weekend. The pitch black cockpit makes 5.1 pretty much unusable for me
  9. Really makes you wonder why LM doesnt communicate properly with THE most important weather add-on manufacturer for their sim. Unbelievable....

  11. Performance is superb and this alone is a good reason for me to switch to v5 asap. If they manage to fully implement TrueSky with probably v5.1 until the summer this will be a great platform. So we can patiently wait and see what MSFS2020 brings to the table in the coming months/years.
  12. Yes you really cant count it as a feature at the moment because in its current state its completely useless. With only one allowed layer no weather injection software (like Active Sky) will work either. Labeling it "Beta" is also misleading because if its in beta it means that it is feature complete and may only have some bugs left to fix... They could at least give us a rough timeline when they plan to really implement it...
  13. Quite disappointed from the new weather settings to be honest. I think enhanced atmospherics (TrueSky) is not an option at the moment because I noticed that if you change the weather to for example rain, it tells you that there is only one layer allowed. Which will never give you an accurate representation of the real weather... So I guess we will only see a Active Sky version that is compatible with the legacy weather option...
  14. I think we will still need reshade software but we wont need reflection models like those that came from TomatoShade.

  17. I disagree on that one. Nobody should be (and in fact they arent) allowed to tell me what I do with files on my PC and what not, As long as I dont harm any REAL laws like making it available elsewhere or selling it. But to claim a copyright here and disable Youtube accounts is not quite legal in my opinion. I bet Matt gets his channel back soon, without any consequences
  18. This case shows how stubborn and selfish IVAO "CEOs" are. It is obvious that they are not aware of the situation of our community. Youtube/Twitch/ etc. are essential for communication, learning and more important: to catch attention to our hobby. Flightsim community gets smaller and smaller. Welcome to 2015! We`re not living in FS 2002 times anymore. We already have software that lags behind, community that is split (IVAO and VATSIM). So please bring your R&R to todays standards and stop weaken our community with small minded copyright claims!
  19. Thank you so much for your effort! Yes thats kinda strange indeed. Ok, I currently have FTX Global, Vector and OpenLC Europe in use. No other nonstandard airports nearby, and there wasnt any other scenery installed before. Version 1.01 is installed which is the latest version of EDNY. Just to make it sure: Lightfield.bgl needs to be copied to the aerosoft/friedrichshafen scenery folder? Maybe you can send me over your configuration file then I can check where our settings differ

Yes I copied the EDNY Light field BGL into the airports scenery folder but had no succes with it :( If I delete the light field bgl i dont get flashing but the lights are missing completely. The problem occurs with every aircraft I use, even with sock aircrafts. Doesnt matter if I turn the lights on or off Man this airport is reeeally stubborn
  22. Hello guys, the problem I have is that the runway and apron lights at Friedrichshafen EDNY are flashing like hell. I know those very bad programed german airports are very difficult to handle, but I just want make sure that there is nothing I can do on this issue. I already tried every possible setting in the legacy option menu. (momentarily: regulator is set all the way to the left to scenery with v2.0 transparency and lightning rules ticked / in the lights,effects page "convert effects" and "exclude orbx" is ticked). I feel very comfortable with this settings except at EDNY :( Maybe someone here has proper setting that stops flashing at EDNY or any other solution because I cant image my FSX without Steves genius Fixer! Thanks in advance and always happy landings

Sorry to push this thread up again after a long time, but maybe the answer that was given to me by the REX support is important for other uses which do experience the same problems: "As of right now you cannot change or modify the water textures within REX 4. We are working on an Add-on to address this and will be released soon. I can say that we handled the process in REX 4 differently to account for other water class issues that REX 3 didn't fix by splitting up the waters. We will be bring the best of both worlds to REX 4 Texture Direct soon." It sounds good that they will keep up on that, but until no additional feature like the support mentioned is released, REX 4 is money down the drain for users of older REX products.
