    Yes, I ran it. Both step #1 and step #2. Upon further trial & error, uninstalling UTX 2.1 proved that it's not the culprit. I uninstalled it and it still goes black. Since it first happened right after installing 2.1, I thought that was the problem. Oh well. Thanks for the reply, though. jime

    After installing version 2.1 of Flight 1's Ultimate Terrain X USA, FSX goes black after a few minutes. The program is still running except the screen is completely black. It doesn't freeze my computer and I can just escape out of it. First time ever for this type of error. Version 2.0 didn't have this problem and was just curious if any one here had the same thing happen after installing version 2.1. Thanks, jime

    You should uninstall using the Start / Flight-One / Ultimate Terrain X / Un-Install. I read somewhere on their Forum that this is the proper(?) way of uninstalling UTX 2.0. jime

    It's an addiction, really. I need my daily fix of Avsim. A daily log-on to see what's the latest and greatest in the flight sim world does the trick. Gotta have my Av.

    For a single monitor set-up, Aussiedin is absolutely correct. 0.0 represents DX9 and 0.1 would represent DX10. jime
