  1. I have bought a couple of add-ons at PC Aviator that have been updated to a P3Dv4 version and they are all available by now. Give them a couple of days. It's weekend! They are not the quickest or most responsive but they have the best prices. As long as they make the updates available at some point, I'm ok. If you want prompt updates then you must buy via the developer directly.
  2. Actually, I moved back to 2D flying when flying airliners. When flying airliners, VR is just a bit too stressful for me. Flyinside for P3D is ok, but not yet working perfectly. The pop-up windows, importing pdfs to look at charts, finding the click spots for all switches, the performance, the VAS consumption ... Don't get me wrong, the immersion is great, but when I fly airliners, then it is more about the procedures for me. And I also want to be able to easily step back from the PC when at cruise level to do other things while monitoring the instruments. I have a triple monitor setup with a hardware MCP and switch panels. So 2D flying is also quite immersive for me. However, every once in a while I enjoy firing up Aerofly in VR and crusing along in a GA plane to get that immersion of actually being in the air...
  3. Yeah, right... The new installers were released when? 24 hours ago? Give me a break...
  4. Sorry, but this is not true. They have been very quick to update the downloads recently when a lot of the developers have issued P3D v4 installers. Actually, PC Aviator AU is a nightmare. I bought Ibiza X Evoluation in 2015 and they still have version 1.01 on the download page. There have been 4 updates since and the most current version is 1.05. I will never again buy at PC Aviator AU.
  5. And it will be a paid upgrade. Too bad. As I have bought the FSLabs A320, I'm not willing to pay for the upgrade. Would have been nice to still have the Aerosoft busses in v4 as a performance friendly alternative to the FSLabs. Oh well. Guess I have to write off that investment...
  6. Wow. That's quite a long shot. As much as I respect Matt as a very good flightsim streamer, I think he is seriously loosing focus here.
  7. It's really a delicate topic. If you look into the shaders code after applying PTA, then you can see that Yuri did much more than just adjust some variables. There is genuine new code there which was clearly developed by Yuri. In that sense, it is not ok to reverse engineer PTA. I think what Matt does is the best way to go. He paid Yuri for his work and now takes things forward. And he is a credible player in the flightsim community. I most likely will buy his new version of PTA...
  8. Does it also work without Reshade? I don't like that post-processing crap that makes the system unstable. Thanks for your effort!
  9. I don't want to sound too harsh here, but from some questions people are asking here, I can tell that they probably shouldn't mess with their P3D v4 install and instead just wait until developers have updated installers/sceneries. Especially sceneries of those devs who have already stated that they will provide P3D v4 updates soon. If you know what you are doing then trying out some non-updated sceneries is perfectly fine, but if not then just wait and do not mess up your installation.
  10. Same here. Close to the airport the ground textures seem to shift between different textures. But this only happens close to the airport. Very annoying. Same for all FSDT and Flightbeam airports I own (LSGG, CYVR, KDEN, KSFO, KPHX).
  11. I'm not a beta tester, but I don't see why any mesh product should not be compatible with v4. They will not provide an installer for FS Global 2010 because they want to sell the new versions. But I'm almost 100% sure that FS Global 2010 will be compatible just by manually adding it to the scenery.cfg.
  12. If that isn't good enough for you, how can you then be a fan of Aerofly FS2? Don't get me wrong. It has potential, but it lacks in so many areas right now that it just feels like an arcade game.
  13. Yep. Despite the great product, I really think it is a joke charging for the update as the product was only released a couple of months ago and it is already the most expensive aircraft add-on on the market. They are taking advantage of people essentially being in a hold up since the FSL bus is so heavy on VAS that you basically have to upgrade to v4 to fully use it. Was definitely my last product I bought from FSL.
  14. RSR said that it will be ported, but it is the last product they will update (only after 747, 777 and DC-6).
  15. Wow. That is really too good to be true. That would definitely be the end of P3D for me.
  16. I have the DVD version of X-Plane 11 for 2 weeks now. Have started XP11 numerous times to test things (>60-70 times). Not a single time I had to insert disc 1.
  17. Wow. What a lot of nonsense in this thread especially from those who really don't have a clue about what X-Plane can do. All this "X-Plane doesn't have weather and airliners and my Orbx regions look so much better". What a BS. Get to really know what X-Plane can do and at which price and then come back. (And no. I'm not an XP fan@&€. I also use P3D and love it as well).
  18. Of course you can. Just choose the HD Mesh v3 directory as the source for creating the overlays. There are various tutorials on YouTube that outline the process incl how you can use HD Mesh v3 for the overlays.
  19. Why do people get excited about something that we already have? This thing offers NOTHING that X-Plane 11 doesn't already offer. Plus XP is not based on this crappy landclass approach. Once you have seen photoreal with OSM based overlays then landclass scenery just looks horrible.
  20. Did anyone of you test the new version? On my system it is a stuttery mess since the update. Was performing excellently in v1.71 but with the new v1.8 it is very stuttery even when fps are at 40+. I think, I will reinstall the old version...
  21. LEMD is in development by Latinwings.
  22. Title says it all. Anyone tried yet? I only did a quick 5 minute test on the ground in the PMDG NGX. Touch controller support is a great idea but not really usable in its current state. Other than that, I didn't notice many changes.
