  1. It means press Shift+Z once and then Shift+Z a second time....
  2. Hallo Patrice. after the latest CP update (yesterday) former problems are gone, and everything works fine again. Fritz
  3. What's that? A question? Any sense? Surely not.
  4. Hi Kjelle, no aircraft can be steered by the yoke. In case of a (for most of us) missing tiller we use the rudder pedals for that. In Options -> Controls P3D's Rudder Axis must be active. Have a lot of fun! Fritz
  5. Well, I can't really understand what people expect from flight simulation. As a r/w pilot it should be a SIMULATION of FLIGHT for me which means PILOTING an aircraft that comes as close as possible to my A2A and the real Cherokee in performance and handling, not necessarily optically. Mostly FS seems to be regarded as a simulation of environment without coming close to any realism of flying. Even as a very experienced pilot you have no eye for scenery while climbing or on approach (if you don't prefer autoland...). Personally I love flying into beautiful cloud formations, but you concentrate more on the airspace around you than on ground only. So I expect that P3D and X-Plane will remain the preferred FS when it comes to more realistic piloting.
  6. Monitor calibration doesn't help for me, too, and I tried everything else. Would be happy to have it as dark as your pictures look here(!). I had to set it so dark that X-Plane or any other program were nearly unvisible on my screen: suboptimal solution. For me the anomaly reoccured after any addon that had HDR set to on (my fault after several new P3D installations).
  7. Which angle, which weather program do you talk about, Leon? And, why don't you set MANUAL weather at any airport? And, lookup your POH for allowed crosswinds (life is short...) Fritz
  8. Barely seen such a nonsense.... Pinto, did you ever post inside ORBX? Did you mark "AU v2" in every scenery's config via Central? And, i cannot replicate your problem. Fritz
  9. Rhinozherous, if you don't need multiple throttles then I'd recommend a stand alone Saitek ProFlight throttle unit. It needs an usual USB port of your PC. Available same day. Fritz
  10. GREEN??? Thinking "green" needs a lot of brain activity, and not such an absolute nonsense while playing a game ("flying" while asleep etc. has nothing in common with simulation of flight). Long haul flights at your PC aren't kind of flying unless you must at least monitor constantly and deal with several intermittent technical issues. If you like simulation then you'll save flights BEFORE the final approach, so you can repeat these again and again under changing conditions (simpler in X-Plane). That is simulation, and "green" would only be to shut down your PC.... Have fun and happy landings Fritz
  11. FlightSimLabs and Airbus Industries did it: Beaming technology is active (PMDG Boeing remains pre-warp...) Three uneventful flights and landings in an FSL A319 vs. 2.024. While shutting down at the gate on switching off the beacons, this triggers a new flight loading, and a few seconds later I'm sitting safely on 08R at EDDM (which I hadn't visited yet). Well, location could be worse. This happens on a new PC with full updated versions of Win10, drivers, and especially P3D including all commercial addons. No issues else, and P3D works flawlessly. It is not yet tested with A320, however it seems to be related to the beacon switch.
  12. Dont get a cold, recommend staying in the cockpit 😜 (Sorry, couldn´t resist...)
  13. Highwinds CDN is constantly fast for me, e.g. for ORBX downloads I always get 11-12 MB/s (Western EU). Seems there must be other reasons (contract?).
  14. Some confusion here: once it's GPU, next it's CPU?
  15. Jim, did you calibrate your throttle in Windows, too ("<WIN> + R" , then enter "joy.cpl")? For me that worked. Hope it might help else. Fritz
  16. Hi Jürgen, it's Germany (like you?). Well, a global zoom of 0.8 appears best for me on my 32" monitor. Many of us will have difficulties evaluating a somewhat realistic perspective on a 2D monitor (depends on its size, too) versus 3D reality. I tried long and adopted that value comparing the assumed distance from inside with outside views when parked at a gate. Of course that's still an individual impression. Kind regards, Fritz
  17. Yes Jürgen, this is normal. Chaseplane only sets the aircraft's/cockpit's zoom, while you have to set your desired global zoom (.7 - .8 is more realistic) by saving the situation you want to load. Regards, Fritz
  18. Barra, what is your "residual thrust", resp. which N1 value do you read? Sure you disabled A/T on manual approach(?).
  19. Well Peter, DP runs at any frequency. Stan, your excellent monitor does what your card transfers to him. As you'll never see any difference between DP and HDMI (no matter port 1/2), you should use that port you have the highest quality cable for (and that may make a real difference...). Fritz
  20. Geo, it won't be included in Windows 19 😉, however it's still part of Windows 10 system and cannot be disabled afaik. Jack, don't know/find any hint at Edge. Could you please specify that, thanks! Fritz
  21. Well, for some even more detail most flying -8's are B747-830 😉
  22. Dennis, maybe there is quite another problem: it would be very surprising if PMDG's v2 works at all in P3D4.4? (Only v3 does) Regards, Fritz
  23. Professional: you mean in a real aircraft?
