Msfs audio and video stutter, hang up
Since, yesterday after FSLTL update, Navdata update, Fenix update, Everytime I start flight in Fenix a320 at any airport, initially I get audio stutter like cracking noise, video stutter, if I try to turn angle view or change to outside view, video freezes. It takes at least few minutes to load gsx. Sometimes msfs just shuts. Sometimes, after a few minutes, stutter and freeze disappear and then everything runs smoothly. No idea why.

777-3000er
I have boxed version of pmdg 777-200lr with sp1d. It is working perfectly fine. I want to download 777-300er directly from pmdg site. Can i do that and will creat any conflict? Do i have to uninstall 777-200lr before downloading 300ER? Best wishes Ash nerurkar

[08MAY16] PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II: 747-400F preview...
Any chance it will come with functional cpdlc where we can request ATIS from ASN, request initial clearance from ATC (pf3 or other ATC programme)? This can be then extended to 777 lines. Just a hopeful thinking. Ash nerurkar

"Best" or "Top 10" Virtual Airlines?
it depends on what kind of aircraft you want to fly and which part of world. It also depends on whether you are interested in short haul or long haul flights. I am a member of KLM virtual and emirates virtual for following reasons. KLM virtual gives me chance to fly PMDG737NGX on short haul routes to most of the European cities and PMDG 777 to medium and long haul routes to many cities across Atlantic and Asia. Emirates virtual lets me fly PMDG777 to all routes including short haul ( real emirates routes). As emirates has extensive route network across globe, I can fly to most of the cities. It also has freighter routes so B777F is a usable option. Both virtual airlines use real world routes and timetable. Best wishes Ash

Looking for accurate TNT panel ini
There is DVD about TNT B777LRF in market. It is a great video which goes into intricate details of configuration and FMC set up. You can create your own configuration based on real life. PMDG is ini for TNT is pretty accurate. Best wishes Ash Nerurkar

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
unfortunately , it cant as PF3 does not have SID and STAR database. That is the reason i wish PF3 could read AIRAC database. It will make it lot more realistic with some surprise element. One can not pre decide SID or STAR and incorporate its waypoints flight plans as if runway change occurs by the time you are ready to taxi, those waypoints are of no use.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
Yes you do get departure clearance with initial altitude or flight level. No. It has nothing to do with passenger comfort. Passengers don't feel it as long as rate of climb is constant. It is to comply with SID climb restrictions or ATC suggestion due to traffic. There is b777 virgin video flight from Heathrow to San fransisco. After egll take off and autopilot in command, captain switches to V/S to avert traffic.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
I havent flown LIMF but i can definitely tell you about EGLL SID. If you dont put height restrictions in SID of PF3, when you ask for clearance, you will be assigned initial climb altitude. You set that in MCP and take off. Your aircraft will fly initial height and speed restrictions till you reach 6000Ft. At that point you delete height restriction in FMC climb page and you will fly continuous climb to initial flight level when ATC will clear to resume your navigation and give you higher altitude. I have discussed this with real BA pilots flying B777. They told me that rarely they need to fly entire SID at 6000 and ATC will clear them to higher FL way before they reach 6000. They just delete height constraints in FMC and get continuous climb. Some times instead of VNAV, they switch to V/S in MCP to slow down speed of climb to minimize flying level segment.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
Reading all the pages of this forum, i think we all want PF3 to succeed as it is a good program with great voices and correct phrasology. I think most of us are bit disappointed with PF3 as it does not read AIRAC data. Had it done that and use it automatically to vector, we would have been happy. I dont understand much of programming but this is not unachievable task as other programs are already using AIRAC. Other thing is to establish directl ink to external weather program. It will insert most accurate and updated weather to identify coeerect runway in use. Can developers think of making thse as an update? If so, it can be as real as it can get in sim world.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
I agree with you. I see ASN weather reporting for FMC planning of STAR and guess active runway. As i near airport, around 80miles, i tune to ATIS to confirm it. I wish PF3 had direct links to external weather program to set its ACARS and ATIS.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
I have been using PFE delux for long and now PF3 and i know exactly how to configure flight plan. I do mark end of SID and beginning of STAR in waypoint adjustment page. I set FAF, transition altitude etc. The issue is you can not configure SID or STAR waypoints in flight plans as u dont know which runway will be in use by the time you actually start taxing. ( ASN weather updates 15min and wind change will change runway in use) AS i said , still SID is not a problem as you know which runway is in use and if there is change, then while taxing you can alter FMC accordingly. While flying long haul when you are nearing last waypoint, you need to reconfigure FMC according to runway in use. The end point is same for any runway but depending on runway STAR changes. AS PF3 does not know STAR database, it will vector you in the nearest direction to runway ( if STAR box is not ticked) which may conflict other ai traffic or terrain restrictions ( some times flying over city or airfield) or bring you to FAF at higher altitude. If STAR box is ticked ,it will ask you to fly entire approach at pilot discretion without any interference till you reach FAF. In real life, most of the times aircraft fly STAR and depending on trafic load, ATC will truncate STAR and vector them to runway at appropriate altitude. Like other ATC programs if PF3 can understand SID STAR NAVDATA, even when vectoring, it would use speed or altitude constraints to bring aircraft to FAF at correct altitude. Again i say PF3 is great program and handles ATC well but it has a chance to become gold standard if it can read SID and STARS.

PF3 ATC Program thoughts
PFE and now PFE3 is probably the best ATC program of FSX. The voice variety makes it very real and human. Also ATIS audio is good. There is last minute runway change which is very realistic. Every thing is good about it except SID and STAR reading. I was hoping that new PFE3 will have incorporated NAVDATA SID and STAR reading in it. That would have made this program the most realistic ATC. I understand the logic that pilots know about SID and STARs beforehand and dont need ATC to tell them. You can program PFE3 with all STAR waypoints but if you are flying long haul, you dont know what will weather be when you come to land and what will be active runway. I agree that for SID as you know well before take off which runway is in use and you plan you FMC accordingly. However; for approach, in real world many times you start on STAR, and midway through STAR depending on traffic, ATC will vector you to runway. However those vectors are actually truncated STARs. If you look at EDDF (Frankfurt) or OMDB ( Dubai) STARS you will understand what i mean. As PFE3 does not understand these STARs,, it vectors you to runway using more like arc which is completely off any track. For example: If you are flying DESDI 8C STAR for runway 30L to Dubai ( OMDB), with PFE3 either you need to fly entire STAR which a long track or if you request vector, instead of asking to continue flying left downwind, PFE3 will vector you in right hand downwind arc loop which is over Dubai city. This doe not happen in real world. If PFE would understand NAVDATA, it would vector you using correct direction just using correct altitude constraints. It is a wish list because i think PFE3 has best potential to be in the league of top FS add ons. Ash nerurkar

pmdg 777 and cpdlc
Does anyone know if PMDG is likely to implement functional cpdlc to B777? There are so many ATC programs such a PFE delux, ProATC X, it is possible to develope it with either of them. Atlease Activeskynext ATIS can be requested on CPDLC which is a real life function. Best wishes ash nerurkar
