I received CS email last night Australia time, Dec 22 mentioning the upcoming Sale and noticed that the CS website store listed the 757 freighter and 300 expansion packs at $19.99, I was tempted to buy then but thought I'd wait to see all product prices. Today, those same 757 expansions have risen to $25! CS definitely needs a new store manager, or is it shrewd marketing.

Hi Luis, Visited you great Country earlier this year, very enjoyable. I regularly use the iFly 747 and Qw787 in prepar3d v4.5 PC desktop and have no issues with FPS or stuttering (i7-4790K GTX 1060), not sure about a laptop - both aircraft a joy to fly. I think it is a matter of your preferred choice. I am finding it hard to find real world routes for the B747 to fly, with their gradual retirement from airlines, the 747-8i even harder but there is always the Cargo routes which the iFly 747 BCF fills beautifully. If I had to decide I think I would choose the Qw787, with the recent release of the -10 it offers a good selection in airlines, routes, available liveries and is an excellent product. Steve

I used to suffer from this problem in P3Dv4.5, until the last update,probably flown 100 hrs since then without CTD, although I have cut down on external views during flight using Chaseplane. I'm getting 2.5hrs each flight. Some users are still getting the CTD. I find it a good aircraft with good system detail, but the CTD still plagues some.

As a long time subscriber to the Navigraph Charts and Airac updates, it's the first I have heard of the proposed - then rescinded changes. It would have been nice if Navigraph had emailed me of this, they certainly don't hesitate in letting you know by email when a payment has gone amiss. I hope the new MSFS2020 has allowed for ongoing Navdata and chart updates to be included in the release.

I buy all my Carenado releases on Simmarket, always offer the same discount and for me, it's cheaper to buy in Euros rather than $US most times, with the $A in free fall.

Simbrief.com, Skyvector.com, Vatsim.net have good resources for Novice to Pro also plenty videos on YouTube.com. For charts, just google the country of origin/arrival, most Governments provide free access to their aviation services which include VFR/IFR charts/procedures.

Must say I'm pretty underwhelmed with the release of NGXu - from someone who has purchased every PMDG variant of the 737 from FSX to the current P3dV4.5. I just don't see the need for the 737NGXu. It certainly doesn't fill any void in needed aircraft.Pricing is becoming cost prohibitive, with no sign of any relief. When the MSFS2020 is released and we are able to see what is on offer and at what cost, I think it will be time to re-evaluate my Flightsim future. I get that developers put a lot of time into their product, but the consumers are not an endless source of money. We do have a life outside of it, with real world commitments and expenses. When an aircraft was too expensive or unavailable in FSX or Prepar3D, but cheaper or available in X-plane, I bought that version to get my sugar hit, but even in this platform they are becoming costly. Not to mention addons and utilities needed in both. The time is not far off when I fear I will be leaving the FlightSim world, which I first entered and have contributed to, since the early 80's.

Thought the same thing, wing drop after stall - used to terrify me during training, then after mastering the recovering I kinda enjoyed them.

Impressed with the 32 layers of cloud generation, rainbows and ice forming on the aircraft, this Sim is going to be the new Benchmark for others to aspire to. Can't wait to get. Steve

Anyone having this issue in Prepar3d v4.5. I did a 90 minute flight and the normally stutter free now has very noticeable stutters and scenery loading lag.

I'm running AS with ASCA, Envtex and Envshade - they all seem to work in harmony, integration is easy and the end result is quite realistic. Envshade seems to work much better than PTA and a lot easy to update and change settings.

Anyway of reading the article without a subscription, keep getting pestered to sign up - unless Australia is geo-blocked.

Although not my preferred FlightSim, I really like X-Planes start feature that allows you to see a diagram of the parking spaces available at each airport then select with your mouse. Prepar3d and the all previous FS versions have/had a terrible system where you need to look up charts and hope the airport afcad corresponds correctly, then select from a list - no diagrammatic representation.

Im using AS ASCA ENVTEX and ENVSHADE, which work in perfect harmony so can't see why REX wouldn't work, in P4dv4.5. And yes, the visual weather generation is amazing.

The download file is isg187_x64 (2.23mb size) which holds the isg1.gau not the isg.gau, I think I had it working in P3Dv4.4 but never tried in v4.5, I never carried that aircraft over to that install.

Looks like it needs a Carenado support ticket, they're usually pretty good.
