  1. As i said weeks ago, in Steam you have the good old access to all files. Dont know why people buy it via the Store. At the beginning we all thought its a must, but then came the Steam announcement... Steam has clearly only advantages, and this is the biggest one.
  2. EDDS is not available in BING Maps, so it is not avaiable in FS20. Its that simple. EDDS is blurred out in BING. We have to wait for an Addon or public available BING maps (google maps etc is not relevant for FS20)
  3. When you have it in Steam: Just move the content from the steamapps\common\flightsim folder to your new SSD. Then "reinstall" FS20. It will recongize it and it will be ready again. Works since years with all Steam games. If you belong to the unlucky guys who chose the MS Store...then...good luck.
  4. Installed this morning with the usual Steam Button "Install", then i choose the drive, then it ran about 5 minutes. Then the game startet and asked me where to download the content packages. I created a folder on the same drive and then the installation ran very fast. I had to log on with my Windows Account. Done. Could not be easier.
  5. Some reports about 20% performance plus in other forums.
  6. You dont need a game supporting G-Sync. All you need is a Nvidia Card and a G-sync compatible monitor. The rest are Nvidia control panel settings...no matter what game.
  7. "Blurry textures" is not a "bug in our simulators" as you call it. Its technically a result of texturing polygons which can only be sharp from one perspective. Therefore the Anisotropic filter was invented many years ago, simply said to "resharpen" them from other viewing angles. And this is what is possible and state of the art. Do i understand you right: You dont like the graphics in FS20? Well ok, then go and search for one with better optics. You are free! 🙂
  8. You can install on every drive you want to install it via Steam. Whats the Problem? Additionally, you have full access to all files in Steam, not some hidden stuff as via the MS Store.
  9. Yeah, now as you told us, it really looks crappy like the good old FS2004. 🙄 Dscheesus...!
  10. Guy, we do not talk about 60 millions of users here...this is not Fortnite or Call of Duty. Its still a niche...and MS is one of the biggest cloud services for industry out there, do you think some Flight Simmers can break this down? 🤣
  11. There is no issue, this is quite realistic: https://gfycat.com/weirdscaredhawaiianmonkseal
  12. How can anybody know if there is a surprise, if it is a surprise?
  13. I guess a lot of adult men here lose all the nerves in the last days...
  14. The Airbus Joystick is just a redesigned T16.000 Stick from Thrustmaster. And it will face the same issues, especially the Z-axis potis will start to go crazy after not so much hours of use...
  15. We will find out if CPU or GPU are more important when we all have the FS20 on our harddisks...
  16. Dont you use Windows 10? Then you should already have an MS account.
  17. Lets wait for the release and then we will experience the stability. What answers are you expecting?
  18. I would say the main forum stays for the hysteric, useless threats that are bombed down on us every 30 sec (roughly estimated). Then i need 1 subforum for serious discussions on technical issues. Then i need 1 subforum maybe for travel advices, something like a FS20 trip advisor with hints to nice places to be visited by air. Then i need 1 subforum for aircraft. then i need 1 subforum for scenery addons. just my 2 cents.
