Working great! The ability to change the sky colors at real time is fascinating. Bravo! That patching level reminds me (avoiding the distances) like Silent Hunter 5 patching era. A submarine simulator broken since release date, and community talented members fixing it after long waiting time. I don't know how they do it, but it makes me think about what more hacks could be done..

I own a RTX4080 and this option was disabled and greyedout from a Win10 & MSFS DX12 fresh installation. What Id did is to check if in UEFI the "Resizable BAR" option is enabled. Then in Windows check the "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling", restart operating system if any change is made. When back to MSFS make sure you changed from DX11 to DX12. If the option is still greyed out,(like was in my case after doing all this checks), you need to enable it in the settings file: Look for the file "UserCfg.opt" in my case (MSFS Store verison) was located at: C:\Users\usrename\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache Do a backup before changing any content. Then open UserCfg.opt with Notepad and edit: DLSSG 1 Close and save. Start MSFS. When back to the options menu, the option may appear greyed out but set to YES. I don't understand why I can' turn it ON OFF from the menu itself... Hope it helps!

Recently I just got a Pico4, the only information I used with MSFS is this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBtBydWz9vQ&list=LL&index=2 It needs a fast GPU, (I have paired with a RTX 4080) and stable 5Ghz Wifi connection because your PC will stream your desktop to the Pico4 using a fast and high quality video compressor.

And compared with a 5900x, how it performs?

Hi, After updating my Nvidia drivers noticied that when panning fast, inside or outside view, MSFS hangs, the image is freezed, rest of the system is responding fine. When looking at event viewer, Win10 says that: "The nvlddmkm display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I tried to revert to the old version, I did a clean driver uninstall from DDU driver uninstaller, I did a stress test to my GTX 1080 without failures. It seems related to a driver issue, but I can't revert back to the normal behavior. Now my nvidia driver is at 512.59. Any thoughts?

As far I know, the 3D model is exported and functional on MSFS, no worries here. But the problem is the MSFS FM not being so advanced to achieve the performance desired. My bet is they are waiting a mature SDK.

My hope is to see SIAI Marchetti SF.260 by Jrollon & Claudio to this list with a kind of REP or similar 😉 More devs are doing mechanics not seen until now in MSFS, like Milviz does, so I also hope soon more and more devs achieves high levels of realism.

I supouse it's for a very closeup views, you can zoom in without losing resolution and became a blurry texture.

What it worked for me, at least with last 2 uptdates, was opening MS Store, hit update and then leave it alone at background around 10-15min. Surfing the web mean while. Then it get updated. This is a common behaviour in all Microsoft cloud stuff gears.

I do it mapping F7 & F12 to my Saitek X52 software.

I hope Direct Storage in Windows 11 makes some changes to this loading times in the near future.

If it came just in time to prevent my brain to buy a 3080ti monster, what I will do is to save that money for another month, until my brain comes again...

Question, with this update who will get more fps increase? A system with high end CPU but lower GPU, or a pc with a weak CPU but more powerful GPU?

This is for general performance (fps kills) or only for this specific location?

I got this issue also after last update, sometimes during 1 or 2 minutes and my fps down to 8fps (normally @30 vsync from simulator) But today, this fps drop last forever since I turned vsync in game off an then on.

I noticed some time the same, 4K here but not in ultra, medium here. Have you tried to config your graphics drivers to texture= high quality? It seems like lot of compression applied to the texture, may be you run out of VRAM?

My 5900x runs hot at stock, but check soon for a new utility called "Clock Tuner 2" for Ryzen 5000 by 1usmus. (Exists version 1 but is build for 3000 series). This utility will test your CPU and will balance it automagically to the lowest voltage without losing performance and being stable. Also supports OC of course. Back on temps, I was at 79°C-81°C. I managed to reduce voltage and set it to 1.1V, now a Full stress test it gets 70°C 4.3Ghz, GTX 1080 @ 4K. Noctua U12A push/pull. MSFS runs fine locked at 30fps, settings Medium-High and CPU Temps at 55°C-60°C. Higher resolutions demand less cpu usage and graphics cards are the real bottleneck. The feel is all is more responsive and really smooth. EDIT: My mobo is MSI B550 and RAM @ 3200MHz, without WHEA errors.
