New Fenix turbo APU?
Let's clear a few things up... I turned the APU off, not on at cruise I don't usually leave it on after engine startup, but I had a couple glasses of wine whilst in the cockpit I miscalculated the fuel needed because, well, see above. But 3 times since (and without the wine) I left the APU on until cruise to see if I was imagining things and, lo and behold, it happened all three times.

New Fenix turbo APU?
The first time was out of desperation. I miscalculated fuel for a long flight with a headwind, so I needed to squeeze out every drop to make it. When I switched it off I noticed a slight kick, so on the next few flights I switched it off at cruise just to see if it repeated and it has each time.

New Fenix turbo APU?
So I've been flying the Fenix A320 the last few days, and when I switch off the APU at cruise, the plane shudders momentarily and slows down a few knots. Surely this isn't true to life. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's a minor issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

PA-38 Tomahawk (MSFS) | Product Overview | Just Flight
Really? I read somewhere that it wasn't included. I know what I'm buying later today! Cheers.

PA-38 Tomahawk (MSFS) | Product Overview | Just Flight
I want so much to buy this because I love low-and-slow flying, but alas it doesn't include autopilot. I know the real one doesn't have it either, but I have two toddlers and it's incredibly rare for me to get stretches of more than 10 minutes without having to step away to do something for them. I wish JF had put an AP module on it, or even just a hidden altitude hold similar to the hidden VS control they have on their Arrows.

MSFS2020 Won't Close
Anything like that for Windows 10? Even when I shut it down in task manager it still shows as running on Steam. The only way to clear it is via reboot, which is annoying.

It's been working just fine for me.

MSFS 2020 SU16 (released 5 Aug 25)
Man, everyone telling Asobo not to touch 2020 is so indicative of how much 2024 has smacked their reputation down from where it once stood... ...and I agree entirely.

a lot of anger towards PMDG baffles me!!
I think it's time this forum was renamed to the PMDG Debate Club. I only log in once a day and it seems the first page of posts has at least three separate PMDG topics going at any given time. It's exhausting.

2020 Simmers Fight Back
Actually this is a good question. I wouldn't mind filtering 2024 related posts. If it's so much better and working so well now, why does it need to be tangled with 2020 content? Honest question. I imagine the 2024 guys who left 2020 behind don't want to see 2020 content anymore.

2020 Simmers Fight Back
Yeah, I learned that lesson quickly, which is why I didn't bother buying 2024.

2020 Simmers Fight Back
Ah, so we're stuck with either accepting broken promises and broken products or having the sim we paid for taken away from us via end of support. Let's all be grateful for our gruel.

Inibuilds in MSFS 2020.
To summarise, half of 2020 users say it runs great, while the other half say it's broken. Half of 2024 users say it runs great, while the other half says it's broken. Inibuilds quality in a nutshell. With Ini being an official partner of Asobo, of course they released a half baked plane for Asobo's half baked sim.

2020 Simmers Fight Back
My opinion of Asobo has done a complete 180 in a very short time. After 2020's rough release I knew better than to preorder 2024, but even I was surprised at how underdeveloped it was at release. However, I had some confidence that they would quickly sort out its more glaring issues within a few months. I was wrong. But more disappointing is the utter abandonment of 2020. Yes, I understand that developers shouldn't be expected to support a previous version of software in perpetuity, but considering how MS and Asobo promised a 10 year commitment to 2020 when they announced it, it would have been the right thing to. It's not as if they lack the resources to do so, and the financial benefits of supporting the stable sim haven't evaporated. Not that they care but I no longer hold Asobo in high esteem. They abandoned their promise with one sim in order to focus on a alpha build they charged $200 for that months after release is still feature incomplete and broken for all but the 30% of simmers who get off on lying about how it "works great for me!"

Headwind 339 WOW
I love this plane. I use it as much as any of the payware airliners. I can't wait to try out this update.
