Hey everyone, Not sure how many people have been looking for a merge like this but after some major trial & error I have merged the two respective planes! Both merges are fully working and retain the characteristics and panels of the Flight 1 Super 80/Leonardo Maddog with the exterior of the CLS MD-80 (which in my opinion is the best looking model out there). I have been playing around with this for about 2 years honestly it really wasn't hard when you look at the task, I mostly had to take a logical approach to the whole thing which revealed to me the error that has been holding the whole thing back. For now I am at a stable build on both planes with just the 2D Panels in use. I have left out the VC part for now because in order to keep the CLS model from going into a sorta protection mode (Landing Gears Disappear)you must leave some VC entries in the planes panel.cfg. I should get this to work in the near future but for now its good without it. Now there are only two downfalls to this merge, I see them as small tradeoffs for a great model and panel matchup like this. When using the Leonardo Maddog Merge you will have the landing lights on the wing stuck to on because of the way the developer made the plane. Its coded in a way which sends a continuous Landing Light On command to FS causing the Landing Lights on the model to redeploy if you try to retract them. I have learned to deal with it since it doesn't really affect anything. Maybe someone can find a work around for this in the future. When using the Flight 1 Super 80 with this plane the only downfall is the occasional Appcrash, I have only experienced it happening when I reloaded the plane after an edit without selecting another plane before it. This wasn't too much of a downfall. I have only tested these merges on my own setup so I am unsure how it will go on others, All in All I will eventually post the merges once I figure out how to write up a guide that isn't extremely complicated since I can't actually upload the files.

I usually use http://fuel.aerotexas.com/ to calculate the needed fuel for my flights, but it does not include the A340 in its aircraft database (I have the A340-500/600). Does anybody know where I can find a fuel calculator, or how I can calculate the needed fuel for the A340? Thanks,boeing247

Hi folks, I have a point and a question for you all today. Is it possable, that you can download an FMC for an aircraft, that can then be used for creating routes with waypoints? Including takeoff page, progress page etc? As, if this is possable, my CLS 767 could be flown a massive amount more, and i would enjoy being able to fly my freeware British Airways A319 "Firefly" (G-EUPC) Thanks All -Andy

CLS is since a couple of months not able to provide a CLS forum account to a longtime CLS customer. It's a shame. So, I'll have to find my own way... Let me describe my problem to you. You have a fresh CLS 747-200 fsx installation, it's only 1 minute old. And it works fine. You change your hardware to something accurate, something quite new. You reinstall fsx incl. activation and CLS B742 incl. your password (purchase date early December 2010). And you convert liveries like the AZ-B742 "Baci" in deep blue from fs9 to fsx, thumbnail.jpg (!) and texture.cfg included. And it's working fine again. But now, you begin to install more and more, Airports, fraps 3.5.9 (free demo version). And I have stopped counting, but on December 25th, 2012 it may have happened the 5th or 6th time (!), that my CLS B742 INS Virtual Cockpit failed. And I have paid for a VC that is almost 100% functionable, that's what the guys at CLS say about their own product! The failure of the VC is described in their forum (see-through area around the INS/HDG/APP/... turn-switch), and I see some solutions. You can download the whole 742 package now, and you can try another uncounted reinstall. But this is not my idea of payware! I want CLS to provide us (the picture that proves the VC failure has been downloaded more than 1,600 times until now!!!) a solution, that does NOT contain "please download again" every time this failure comes up again. Here are some of my system specs: i5 2500k cpu, 10 Gigabyte in system RAM (8 GB RAM + 2 GB dedicated video RAM), ... So, please, Mr Bouwman, you are not able to give me a CLS forum account. But please, help us!

Hi folks, So, i have the wanting for a 767. I currently have the CLS 767, but after the NGX and the QW757, it seems a little, well, Lame. I'm not saying i hate it and its awful etc etc, but what i am saying is, that its not as good as i remember, and not as proffesional as i want. This, then leaves me with two options, the Level-D 767 or the Captain Sim 767. I have seen many threads with, " whats the better one" however, can i get someone to sum up these points, that, i have either missed or has not been said: -FRAME OK-FRIENDLY (i manage fine with the NGX) -Numerous "Modern" Liveries (newer, circa 2012 etc liveries being made, whether on the website or available on the Avsim library) - Accurate FMC systems like the NGX (so, things such as creating routes, waypoints, SID/STARS, N1 limits...you get the idea) -Good,small features, like on the NGX (All doors can be opened, pushback customisation, (directions etc, )maybe ground vehicles?) -Accuracy all round! -A workable, pleasant VC Thank you, and, just to re-emphisise, i have seen many threads to this, but, most things i require to know i have missed with my poor skills of skim-reading, or have not been mentioned.

Hey, I have the CLS A340-500/600, but I can't find a good fuel planner for it. The usual one I use does not include the A340. Can anybody suggest one or tell me how to manually calculate the A340 fuel? Thanks,boeing247

I was not able to access the website nor verify my 330 install using my registration code. I am able to access the internet (as I am posting this message using the very same computer). Anyone have any insights or notices when it's gonna come back again? Cheers

Resently i took advantage of a 50% discount to buy the A330-A340 package. from CLS. Good deal for the price, but i have some trouble with it. For one i have found the solution myself and i posted it here in just in case someone else is looking for it. The TCAS is working on the A330 but not on the A340.That one turned out to be simply a missing gauge in the panel.cfg for the TCAS logic. Solution. Go to simobjects --> airplanes --> CLS_A340_300 --> panel and make a copy of panel.cfg (just to be save) open panel.cfg in notepad and scroll to the last entry in [Window00] section, in the original file this is, gauge39=CLS_A343_FSX!ICON_SC, 22,1047,24,24 on the next line add gauge40=CLS_FSX_TCAS!dsd_fsx_xml_tcas, 4,41,20,20 or if you fly from the VC scroll to the last line in the [Vcockpit01] section. In the original file this is gauge46=CLS_A343_FSX!Gear Light Nose, 458,412,35,35 on the next line add gauge47=CLS_FSX_TCAS!dsd_fsx_xml_tcas, 4,41,20,20 save and now the TCAS should be working. Be aware that this TCAS is only a simpel version of a real TCAS, there is no Audible warning and no TCAS resolution advisories. Only tested with FSX, but i think it should work on FS9 if it has the same problem. And maybe i am to hastly, but from the managed modes only the heading seems to work propperly. When i engage speed in MM, it just seems to go the MAX speed (around 300 knots) and with altitude it just reset to 0 feet. Is there someone who got it to work like it should ?

Hi All, I've tried to install the CLS MD80 into P3D v2.5 (w/current hotfix applied after initial install, prior to any add-ons) with the EMT. The plane will load, but there's no panel displayed in either VC or 2D. I fly exclusively in the VC as I have a triple monitor setup. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I haven't tried the LHS Maddog, as I've read it won't work. (How I wish it would be updated to work in P3D!!) Thanks for any help/ideas, Jim
