View track and fligtplan on MFD

Is there a way to view the course track and the flightplan at the same time on the MFD. They do in the real world. The flightplan page blocks the course track. Also cannot stop the cursor from flashing in the flightplan. I have tried the cursor option with the small button with no success. It will turn the cursor on but not off. I can view the flightplan on the PFD and the course track on the full map in the MFD but the cursor will not stop flashing in the PFD. Anyone have the same problem. -
Groeten Maarten! I have an interesting problem for you! When I launch the Carenado Phenom using SimLauncherX the primary (center) MFD does not/cannot activate. When I press the ENT or rightmost buttons the MFD flashes momentarily, but then it reverts to the start up, battery-on state. This is the case whether in the VC or when then the 2D option is displayed. However, if I select the Phenom whilst P3D v2.5 is already running, the MFD activates as expected. I had been communicating with the Carenado support crew, and it was puzzling them. I trust you will find this puzzling as well! I think something in the Systems/Engines initialization settings is perhaps the culprit? Dankjewel, Maarten!

Error situation: during flight your ND is not updated anymore and/or the MFD is going black. After opening a ticket at PMDG support I received the message that this is a known FSX issue, which appears if no airport is close enough to generate a reasonable "tower view" - so usually over the ocean on intercontinental flights. ... and of course only if you switch through the available modes to enjoy your flight from certain perspectives, just as I do ... Following this hint, I went into cameras.cfg file and used to comment the tower view by putting a ";" in front of each line of the respective section. (In my case it was [CameraDefinition.007]) In Windows 7 you can locate this file in: users\yourusername\appdata\roaming\microsoft\fsx This removes the tower view and solved this issue at least in my case and enables now realistic intercontinental flights. fsx-ms Thrustmaster MFD Bezels, How Usefull ?

I have seen the "Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack", and keep wondering if they are big enough to simulate a pair of Garmin? They are a pair of square bezels with five buttons on each side and a rocker switch in each corner making for twenty buttons and four switches per bezel. Sounds good so far, but, they are only 5.5in x 5.5in (141mm) square on the outside and only 4.25 x 4.25in (108mm) square on the inside. I do not see how they can be big enough to simulate a Garmin. What do you guys use them for? (and are any windows-pop-ups or android-apps already published?) Thanks in advance. JD P.S. When using the SDK to control the 737NGX I experience strange behavior when controlling the MFD buttons such as EVT_MPM_MFD_ENG_BUTTON and EVT_MPM_MFD_SYS_BUTTON. When I send a control with parameter 1 the button gets pressed and the MFD changes, but when I send a parameter -1, the button is released but the function is activated again, resulting in another change in MFD. How should I properly release the button press without activating the function again? Thanks! Emile van Gerwen. (737NGX on P3D v2.5)

Hi guys, Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place, but couldn't really find the perfect place to put this question! I'm sure this question applies to every modern aircraft with a typical Navigation display on the MFD. But can anyone tell me: In the top right hand corner of the navigation MFD there's a time which looks like 000.0z which is the time to the waypoint tuned into the NAV radio. Can anyone tell me what unit of time this is?! Many thanks, Dan

This panel fixes the out of sync PFD and replaces the MFD with the F1 GTN 750, and is for version 2.1 of the Carenado SR22 GTSX Turbo. For the MFD, the first soft key will toggle the trim/engine tab on the sidebar. The second (from the left) activates direct-to on the GTN unit. The right arrow button just below the Nav dial will open the 2D GTN. The default MDD has been disabled as it causes major issues with the link to the PFD. The installation method that I am using does not overwrite any files and can be easily undone if needed. If you do not want to edit any files, rename the panel folder from panel.gtn to just panel and replace the files in your install directory. Installation: 1. Copy the panel.gtn folder into your sr22 install folder (this may be different if you use the addon.xml method): ...Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado SR22_GTSX_Turbo\ 2. Edit your aircraft.cfg to activate the new panel. Each livery has its own [flightsim.x] entry in the config. Where it says panel= change the entry to panel=gtn. Hi. Is there an option to create flight plans with an external program (FScommander etc.) and save them in what ever format MFD GPS needs, so they can then be loaded from the GPS. Were are the flight plans saved and in what format? Also is there going to be SID STAR updates coming? gps autopilot? Thanks BJR

Greetings, I thought I would take the Phenom 100 out for a spin after completing my 2.5 load, and while the aircraft loads fine, I cannot activate the primary (center) MFD. Cold and dark works fine, I can spin up the engines, but no MFD. When I click on either the rightmost button or ENT I get a momentary flash of the normal display, but then it reverts to the Startup display, the one that says this, that, and the other thing has expired. This is also true for the Shift + 2 display. Anybody else seen this? I reloaded the aircraft, and also disabled instrument reflections per the "P3D User Readme" suggestion, but still nothing works. Thought I would ask "unoffcially" before I sent a request off to Chile. Thanks! JKH

Will the Communication MFD system be modeled in the 777 and if not can the ACARS and Company pages be created by 3rd party developers through the SDK. Also will the Accept, Cancel, Reject buttons be modeled as well. If you are unsure as to what I am talking about reference the Communications chapter section MFD Communications in the FCOM for more information. I have always felt this is one area (Inflight Dispatching) of FS that is waiting for someone to come along and properly render even if all the messages are just coming from a pre programmed database during flight. If you have not had the chance try doing yor pre deparure clearance with heathrow using CPDLC..... then send your position reports off to Shanwick/Gander every hour adds to the realism when flying online. Hello, I can't use the functions in the "comm" part of the MFD, to get the ATIS of arrival airport for example and I was just wondering if there's an option to activate or so, and if it's necessary to have an ATC add-on to use it ? I know functions are available depending on what airline you fly etc.. But even with PMDG livery nothing works. Can anyone help ?

Hello! I recently bought the PMDG 737NGX, and I have been unable to start up from cold and dark. This is what I usually do: Battery > Emergency Lights > Ground Power (fmc) > Ground Power Switch > IRS When I try to align the IRS, I get alarms and lights. https://gyazo.com/70d60c23bfca79e434644d427776dbaf The alarms don't usually stop, but when I eventually look down at my cockpit, I see this: http://bit.ly/2kPCxos Next, onto the panels. I have tried many different ways of starting this NGX up from cold and dark, and on the ones where you use APU instead of a GPU, I don't get alarms but the IRS's still don't align. On all of them, I get the same thing as shown in the image above with the panels: the Captain's PFD, ND and the upper ECAS don't come on. Some help would be appreciated! Signed, Jacob Passam
