Gents-Al Jordan: We are currently working with a prototype of a new livery installer. I'm not happy with how it works just yet- but we continue to explore new ideas. Most of us share the same annoying with the add/remove clutter created by an msi based installer for liveries- so we are looking at other alternatives. No promises that it'll be ready for THIS release- but it will come eventually....John Ellison: The ALT knob on this airplane is an example of what i consider to be "fine Scottish Engineering." I was explaining to some of the guys that this knob had "just the right balance and feel" so that it was easy to spin in your target altitude with ease. The 747-400 on the other hand is an exercise in constant overshoot and adjustment... Boeing could learn something from these blokes. Ian: Glad to hear we succeeded in making a convert out of you with the MD-11. We hear from many people who thought they'd have no interest in the MD-11 that eventually purchased the airplane and have found it to be a magnificent simulation.Alan: We have a target range for the price point but we won't finalize the pricing until late in the beta testing. I'll discuss this a bit more in a future update.Phydian: We have a great pool of talent on the PMDG team. We don't add to the team very often- so when we do- we are really looking for imagination and inquisitiveness. I'll introduce a few of the new developers a bit later- but we're very pleased with how our growth is going.Nick: We had to wait on cold soaked batts? Wow.... perhaps the guys and gals in scheduling were nice enough not to send me to those places because i never had to wait on the batts. :-) (Must have been all the favors I did for them when they'd call my office and say, "we're short a captain for a XYZ turn- do you have your uniform in the office?" (duh... like that answer was ever a "no.") hey nick- drop me a PM via the forum with your private email addy, will you? I'd like to get a fellow BlueRidger involved since you fit the criteria for our Tech Team....Ian: Yes- KJFK-EGLL would probably stretch the range a bit, wouldn't it? The FMS is reading the flightplan files... so you'll be able to use/share flight plans even if they came from the larger airplanes in the PMDG fleet. :-pOkay- gotta get back to work- I'll have more detailed information about the J41 in an update later tonight!

Robert,Thank you for the update. She looks like another winner! Can you or any of the team comment on how she is on frame rates compared to the MD-11 and the

PMDG did a great job, really, but this screen capture cannot be called : "No- this isn't a photo- this is an in-sim screen capture..."
Not that my opinion matters to you or anyone else, but I think you're being a bit harsh. It's not terribly difficult to get rid of sharp edges in 3ds Max, but doing so costs performance. And God forbid it doesn't run at 69fps, then everyone would complain about the excessive detail on such items as cockpit seats...It's a compromise, and from the looks of the screenshots I'm very satisifed with the quality. And given that all of the previous PMDG products I've purchased have also done very well in the performance department as well, I'm not terribly worried about that either. That's my 2 cents, anyway.NickEDITED to add Benjamin's quote. 2001Z NL.

Now that is a dream...I have to contain myself from trying to reach through the monitor and manipulate all the beautifully rendered knobs and switches!PMDG you guys never disappoint me and I look forward to learning a new airframe, keep up the good work

Well said. To complain about sharp edges at the seat base is plain ridiculous. When I am flying I want to see smooth gauges, nicely rendered instruments, perhaps some detail around windows, glareshield, center pedestal, places where I will be staring 99.9% of the time, no, I won't be looking down at my pants. :(

Robert, Ryan - anyone from PMDG. Can someone please answer my previous post in this thread? It may well be the deciding factor on whether or not I end up buying this product.

Boy I can tell I'm in for a long haul here if we're gonna be complaining about seat-cover angles now...
Then you know now, how The Beatles felt. Constantly trying to out-do yourself with subtle nuances.Sorry to hear about the FSX only thing. But I'm lined up and ready to recieve the 737NG.Golli.

Wow. Looking forward to fly this bird. I've just received the Just Planes video with the ATP J41 and J31 videos. Really nice birds. Why not the ATP after the J41?Bravo again. Real

VC looks amazing! A little wear and tear, just the way I like it. I always considered the CS757 to be the best VC's for commercial aircraft, but this looks like a real contender for top spot. How's the FPS?Jeff P.
