October 8, 200916 yr The really interesting questions (to which we're unlikely to get an answer) are: Who supplied BestBuy? How much did BestBuy pay - less than their selling price I imagine? Gerry Howard
October 8, 200916 yr When it comes to video games kids ALWAYS have an easier time at them. And I applaud PMDG for getting into the RIGHT market... this will help their sales and help their bottom line so they can produce more products! Why be so bitter, now you know that if you wait a few years it'll be in the bargain bin. I'm not willing to wait.

October 8, 200916 yr "Wiking", will you be pressing charges against the person who held a gun to your head and forced you to purchase the 744 for $80? Was the product not worth the full price you paid for it, and if not did you request a refund? Does the reduced price others will pay somehow take away from the quality of the product residing on your computer? Has the 744 somehow lost its status as one of the finest products ever to hit the FS market simply because it's now being boxed and sold at a substantial discount? You're more than welcome to voice your opinion here in the forums (within the AVSIM terms of use, of course), but perhaps it's time to let the blood pressure settle down a bit and just go enjoy what you have instead of being so concerned about others getting to pay less. I'm sure there's plenty of sim enthusiasts who couldn't afford the product at $80, obviously you could. Now even more of our fellow desktop simmers will get to enjoy this product. Let's be happy for them and move on. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher
October 8, 200916 yr I don't know that I'd get too excited yet. Those of us who prepaid haven't received their software yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Best Buy came back and said "We mispriced this product, sorry!"Exactly. Before people fly off the handle, we need to actually see the product in the store for that price and confirm it actually is the PMDG model. Best Buy makes pricing errors all the time, and they do not have to give you that price. Every now and again they'll have some huge HDTV for $99.99 or something (misplaced decimal). ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

But I was sure and I am still sure this is great product - one of three to four greatest FSX add-on planes developed so far. That is why I bought it and I cannot understand why Queen is so depreciated now being sold out of the blue for 30 bucks like some F-lite toy! Though Queen was not downgraded to explain such low price...

Though Queen was not downgraded to explain such low price...If we are talking FSX addons, perhaps price discounting may have something to do with the fact that FSX itself has failed to capture 50% of the sim market- after several years in the marketplace. October 8, 200916 yr but your marketing theory is very naiveyes 100+ years of economic theory ... and i have two degrees (BA and MS).If kids cannot get their money back they exchange Queen for some good F-lite airliner or other toy costing 30 bucks.this all software purcashed from Best Buy ... and is a majority standard for any software purchased 'boxed' or on-line'.is quite probable for MD-11 and all FS2004 line of products.better answer is THE PRICE WILL DROP. i seem to remember a PMDG holiday sale last year ...PS. Do you know anything about Wilco E-jets in the Best Buy for 20 bucks???best buy doesn't carry much in FS ... most stores in USA don't. i do know there are some feelThere/wilco aircraft available on disk at Fry's: airbus V1 & V2, 737 PIC and LEGACY. at one time you could find the ERJv1, caravan and CRJ. i've never seen a disk for the CX. i hope to see the ejet as i don't have a 'jewel case' copy for my wall.-- D. October 9, 200916 yr OK! It today's world many things depreciate very fast - not only premiere add-ons but Nobel Prize, too. I do not want to countiue this discussion any longer. Everybody shall draw his own conclusions...
October 9, 200916 yr I was told that October 13 is the street date. They didn't have it when I went in, but are going to put a copy back for me.

October 9, 200916 yr I'll probably run in there on Wednesday on my way to school and pick that puppy up. Hopefully things won't go south, if they don't have it however, I'll probably just put the money aside for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat or Race On.
