July 7, 201015 yr i imagine so, the 747, md11, and j41 all are Regards, Philip Lodge PC specs; Windows 7 64 bit home premium, Asus P6X58D-E, Intel core i7 930 @ 4.0 GHz, Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 1600MHz triple channel RAM, POV GTX 470, 500gb HDD + 250gb FS HDD, 24" 1920 x 1200, 19" 1280 x 1024 GoFlight MCPPro, VRInsight CDU II, Saitek Pro Flight Radio Panel. July 7, 201015 yr I don't know, considering that it appears that the 747X is no longer available at BestBuy. I would imagine that Aerosoft would make a boxed version though. Joe Sherrill
July 7, 201015 yr I say that PMDG doesn't show anymore Screenshots until the VC has been exported to FSX. I think showing renders is misleading. I have no doubt that the VC will look unlike anything else in FSX but I'm sure we have several hundred people new on the forums and checking out the new NGX...isn't it false advertising? If i'm wrong tell me. Your thoughtsRon Hamilton
July 7, 201015 yr It's not false advertising, it's just advertising. All/almost all/most new games are advertised basing on renders and not on real screenshots. I got used to it.

July 7, 201015 yr It would only be false advertising if they said 'this is exactly what it will look like in FSX', but since they did not say that, and made no attempt to convince anyone that the pics were anything other than renders, it's merely an interesting work in progress diary for those eager to see something. We can certainly gain an idea of what is to come from the pics, but FSX itself will have to display the finished article. Even so, I'm sure it will still look pretty damn impressive, it's only really the lighting that will be less fancy in FSX than it appears in a render.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
July 7, 201015 yr Wow pmdg you are doing great. I was just looking at the overhead panel of the new and old ng and I see that you all are truly doing this from scratch and really getting it right. There are so many differences and the new one just looks so much more accurate...keep up the good work guys. Steven Penninck

It's not a huge difference vs. the 3ds Max renders. There's no depth of field/bokeh effect in the FSX engine obviously, but the textures look very very good. July 7, 201015 yr errrrrr, don't know how you got that conclusion. PMDG currently have at least 3 products in development right now, aerosoft have more than i have time to count, Level D and their 757, etc... July 7, 201015 yr As far as I know it's not. There has already been a lot of topics about the weather radar. PMDG don't wanna include this because of the FSX engine.Best you can do is a search for this and you'll see the replies of the developers about it, :(.DISCLAIMER: This post is not meant to reopen the weather radar debate. My intention is to ONLY share a unique perspective I have had the opportunity to gain after a recent r/w flying experience! Please let's not start the debate over again! :(I have always been in the group of customers wishing PMDG products would include this system. Over the past couple of weeks I have had the opportunity to fly a Bonanza equipped with color radar. After a fairly extensive ground school session and having a couple of hours of experience with the r/w instrument, its clear to me why PMDG has not modeled radar yet. Using color radar appropriately requires good knowledge and experience about the principles behind how radar works. It is extremely important to understand what is displayed and more importantly what isn't. Without the education and an accurate model/simulation, IMHO the instrument becomes almost useless. As has been already expressed, FS simply doesn't supply enough information about precipitation to create an accurate radar model. So given the current state of development, what can be modeled won't be even close to the r/w system.IMHO, I look to PMDG to create products to provide the most accurate simulation of the r/w experience possible. Given FS limitations and what I have now experienced, I would only want weather radar if PMDG figures out a way to accurately model it. Otherwise, for me, the product won't fulfill PMDG's tag line of "As real as it gets"! :( George Morris
