Make that literally two 777s. :) I look forward to the third 777 arriving, but suspect it will be a longish wait.Kevin
Who else has announced an FSX 777 study sim?

Ryan, it wouldn't much matter who did, nobody is in PMDG's class now - nobody. Please expand your team so that projects can proceed in parallel.

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

My reply to the entire idea of any kind of an airbus by PMDG:NO

Oh Brian, well explained. Thank you for sharing with us all about your feelings regarding this hypothetical project. With such a post im sure we could talk houndred of hours about the convenience of a PMDG Airbus.Bests.Carlos G-R. LESO

Yep, going to have to amend my earlier list based on recent developments. Here is what I would like to see now.Highly desirable:

  • Boeing 717It would make a certain amount of sense for PMDG to give this one a go, since it has some flight deck commonality with the MD-11. I would imagine they could possibly reuse some elements of the MD-11 for this one. They would need a new external model and flight dynamics, though. The good news is that lots of 717s are still flying, so PMDG could potentially have access to some data collection for a realistic model.
  • Airbus series (A320/A330/A340/A380)Aerosoft's Airbus-X looks a little too basic for my liking, and God only knows if and when Airsimmer will get an FSX version of their Airbus Advanced Edition out the door. FlightSimLabs (who did the excellent Concorde-X) appears to be working on something involving an Airbus based on a recent mystery screenshot they posted -- unknown yet which one, or how detailed it will be. I would LOVE to see a PMDG treatment of the Airbus series, though. Especially the granddaddy of them all, the A380. (Any word on how Next Level is coming along with theirs?)
  • CRJ-100/200Would be nice to complement the Aerosoft CRJ-700/900 series.
  • Dash-8 Q400I hope this one is in the pipeline after the initial Dash-8 is done...
  • ATR 42/72Flight1's is getting a bit long in the tooth, and was a direct port to FSX from FS9. Here in the US, American flies a bunch of these out of DFW and in the Caribbean. Time for an update?
  • Other commuter propsSaab 340, Embraer 120, etc.
  • Boeing 787, Bombardier CSeries, etc.In a few years, when the flight testing is done, the design finalized, and carriers start deploying these everywhere.
  • Russian planesWonder if there is any way PMDG could model a Tu-204, Il-96, or a Sukhoi Superjet?

Lower on the list:

  • CRJ 700/900Looks like Aerosoft is doing a really nice one of these coming up real soon now, even purported to be a PMDG-style sim. If true, then there's no real need for PMDG to duplicate this effort.
  • BAe 146Aerosoft has announced one of these, too. Level of detail is unknown at this point. I would love to see this one done with PMDG-style detail. If Aerosoft sticks with a basic or mid-range sim on this, then I would love to see PMDG do a high-end one.

Rats, I posted this in the wrong thread! :(

The A320 series would be awesome, since there is no A320 study sim with all the systems simulated available.Marino-

No one AFAIK, Ryan. But in the recent past there has been a reasonably detailed 777 for FS9, not in PMDG's league of course, so that makes 2 in my opinion.Kevin

I would love to see an Airbus but I don't think they would ever put on hold the T7 to start working on it, an Airbus would probably take them longer then it took to make there MD11 and rightfully so. I think Airsimmer has some great idea's and talent but there just missing something. I would love to see PMDG buy them out, keep key designers, and oversee there project so we can have an Airbus.

Wild idea, but sounds good, buyin' 'em out:-)I would really be happy with a PMDG Cessna 172 with a superb G1000 glass cockpit, too! The best selling GA prop of all times, and despite there were attempts to model it (nice Flight1 C172 but still without glass cockpit, wonderful Carenado C172 but only with a prehistoric panel, not even an autopilot included, only the default C172 has the G1000) but imagine a PMDG C172 with a fully functional Garmin 1000, could even be used as a serious procedure trainer, or G1000 trainer - it would be cool:-) Seriously, why not:-)Word-bombs, curses, etc. - they are all welcome:-)

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
