What is REALLY NEEDED: Ourselves as persons; like in any first person shooter.With the ability to leave vehicles, walk around, meet others etc.- FS is a social event also- The increasing details in flight simming demands it to explore the little corners of many addon sceneries.- you know FTX´s BOB? (but you can´t switch into vehicles)There are many promo-videos out there where you can see that demand:eg:

Nope- forget a "life" simulator: what I want is to solely experience exactly what a pilot sees & experiences in a real cockpit. Having your very own Level D Full Motion simulator is the objective!!! Forget the exterior of the airplane and fancy paint jobs, but I do need a 200º panoramic outside view and a full fidelity cockpit that needs no panning or zooming.All this and a special building to house it for less than a hundred bucks!Alex Reid

for total immersion . you need both internal and external models to be solid.  Before you say.." no I don't" .. if the external was a stick rendition of a plane .. would that be OK?  I know that answer is no and therefore for total immersion both the external and internal are key.

I couldn't care less about external rendition- never look at it. I prefer to fly.But if an external model is needed, why not a rendition of the outside of a level D simulator? That would suffice for all airplanes and allow design time to concentrate on cockpit detail, systems AND a 200º view of the world ahead!Alex Reid

You really should look at the screen shot forum to see that you are probably in minority. Almost all shots are external shots.

My wihs for the future Fs,easy to do :- slopes runways and taxi-ways- realistics shadows ( clouds, objects, buildings)- better meteo system- better SDKnot easy to do :- all word in photo-realist pictures (using web like google-earth) but with pictures for each season (and snow, night, etc) and autogen.

Yes, very true. That also leads one to think that marketing success for Flight will depend more on airplane paint jobs rather than on interior cockpit detail, systems and aerodynamic fidelity.Alex Reid

Mostly ATC related requests: SIDs, STARs, speed restrictions, etc. Automated ATC response if you need to walk away, and not nearly as many go arounds.

My wish list is:Good performance.Use of high quality satellite imagery, I am bored of looking at auto-generated / tiled land textures.A more realistic weather engine; please fix those annoying unrealistic sudden wind/pressure shifts.Better ATC system, that has the ability to handle SID/STAR and Holding procedures. Also, I hate the way ATC keep making you 'step climb' during departure, in the real world its much smoother and altitude clearances are given before the aircraft starts to level off.A central navigation/waypoints database that can be updated.Please still allow developers to implement 2D cockpits, they are still needed for precision flying.Improved flight dynamics. This is something that has never really been improved much over the years. Give developers greater control of playing around with the flight dynamics.

+1 That is a MUST. The VC is OK for hand flying light aircraft, but I find it almost impossible to operate an airliner this way.
