PMDG 737 NGX: PMDG's attitude toward realism

Featured Replies

PMDG has been pretty good with the updates. My only complaint would be that the only person who can do the updates, Robert, always has his hands full with other matters so I don't understand why they can't just pass the duty off to someone else every once in a while. It's not a huge deal to me, there are other things in life to be more concerned with. The downside to all the buzz generated by progress updates/tease shots is that they're like crack and some users turn to fiends.

Like I said in a previous post this endless discussion at least to me is totally pointless. Sometimes I wonder if PMDG maybe actually enjoys seeing in threads like this one how all people react to their "baits" they hold in front of us every now and then when they feel like it.Ironically enough looking at the huge activity in threads like this one I think what could actually make PMDG think again (I know I would if I was in their shoes) would be if everyone did the complete opposite and abandonned all these kind of threads until something actually is delivered other than "baits"Obviously I'm looking forward to the NGX as much as everyone else but instead of discussing release dates and updates that are nowhere to be seen most of the time and beeing disappointed nothing new happened other than all these pointless posts (mine included) I spend my time flying the J41 with the FS2Crew Voice addon - both amazing products which at least to me have given me the best FS experience to date!

This is what ###### me off to be honest. Promises of RSR about an update in a few days. Probably "few" means something else in PMDG-Language.Just don't promise the update and there won't be a problem, but if you say that we get an update soon, then give us an update...Dion Mollert
Yeah 'soon' is a very vague time frame and one used too often in my opinion. I interpret soon to be one to three months but others may say six months. PMDG could define it as 'in relation to the age of the universe' which based on that time scale this project is lightning fast. LolMike Kendall

You can bet PMDG finds it a bit entertaining. I don't know if they enjoy the endless whining and bickering though. I don't know why PMDG would stop these types of threads. It is priceless advertising for their products. Almost all FS developers try to create hype. PMDG is just better at it than most others! :(

I am of the belief that you are going to have to pay over 100 bucks to fly either the 737 or the 777 when it finally comes out for real.

I believe Robert or Ryan stated that it would be no more than USD$80. It's in that monster of a thread, "The view forward..."

Mr Randazzo has stated that the final price will likely be below $70.

If this does infact become the case, then I will be very happy indeed, and will certainly feel like I got one hell of a deal.
