I think the load alleviation sys is an optional item on the aircraft with winglets on the 737 family, I looked for something more detailed in FCTM, QRH and FCOM optimized for Gol Airlines operations, but nothing very detailed. I found this references:On the FCTM, Climb, Cruise, Descent and Holding chapterFCOM, Flight Controls - Controls and Indicator chapterBut the basic of the sys is this:The purpose of this system is to eliminate high aerodynamic loads on the wings, caused by the speedbrake in flight detent and high speed. When this situation is detected by the system, the speedbrakes will have a decrease automatic performance of 50%, with the proper monitoring of the lever.Commanding the speedbrakes to "Flight detent";After the command, the system is feeling the overcharge, the spoilers are partially collected and the speedbrake level will go to position 50% (automatically);Keep the lever in the current position and reduce speed to 320 KIAS or less; After slowing down, if you want full use the speedbrake bring the lever to the flight detent.
Thanks a whole lot, Mat. I guess I mixed something up there, didn't quite catch the "speedbrake" thing. I was thinking about a Load Alleviation Function like the 'buses have, and I believe although it is also designed to reduce loads on wings, it would work independent of spoilers (watch A380 ailerons and what they do... three of em at each wing tip). Think it reduced turbulence, sort of. So this system here is a little different and more like a load relief (similar to flap load relief) I see. So thanks a lot for the manual excerpts! Dan, to make it easier for you, you can use this: x = y + 1. 'y' being current number of +1's. :(

LOL! Love all the logical reasoning while we wait here....

PMDG,(Hope someone recognises this...)Will we be able to see the wingtips from the VC??
This is one of the very last things that will be added if we do it. I will not guarantee anything - this VC is already whole orders of magnitude higher in polygon count than any FS aircraft ever made. It makes even the J41 VC look like a small number. While performance is very good right now, there's no guarantee it stays that way if we start adding wings and stuff like that.

WHAT??? NO WINGLETS????lol..sorry j/k. dunno 'bout the rest of yous but I don't intend to spend my time at the pointy end looking backwards. As long as the wings/winglets are there when I 'walk' on the plane and stay there, I'll be happy.

I am stunned. It is a great success ! Great work !
It's a great plane, but do you have to add unnecessary server load to to the forum server to render up the entire original post just for a one line statement?-Sanjeev Mundluru
