Ok, now everything is clear to me like a bright day: thats the reason why PMDG knows how to torture us future 737-customers at this high level with all this preview-threads...:(

I read in this forum that the 737NGX is easier on frames than the MD-11.Any rough indication of how much better? I fly the MD-11 and it is giving my computer a hard time, especially at big hubs (as usual). Thanks,Christos

A little hint, maybe you don't know it:look into manual "Indroduction" page 54 for the overhead switch hide switch. You will gain some frames. No wonders, but if every frame is worthfull, then try it!And I'm sure you already tuned the display frame rate: page 31

Now I have a question... If we are going to have so deep sys implementation with this aircraft, what the difference will be in between PMDG 737 and the software the airliners use to train real world pilots? Is it the same or we will be still missing something?Thank you for the great work guys.
Forget the software, what really makes a HUGE difference is not the software but the hardware. Actually probably close to $10 million worth of it. All the 3-D like visuals, motion system, actual aircraft cockpit hardware, etc. This is what makes big impact on flying-simulation experience - anyone who flew in one of those can probably testify to it. I did.

I think you are 100% spot on. Last November a friend and I spent about 3 hours in a BA B747 sim, the visuals were basic, but it's being in the confined environment of a cockpit with the real displays and sounds and movement that make feel real.

I agree with the sim stuff. I had the opportunity to have ERJ-145 level D sims readily available....albeit at odd hours of the night to get used to an RJ. The only cool thing about the visuals is the weather and lighting effects. Everything is very basic. All I have to say is Wilco did a stand up job on there v2 of the erj 50 seaters.

I highly doubt there will be a huge hit. If one is still running old hardware then I would expect somewhat of a hit but even then, there still may not be one. All I am saying is that PMDG are smart enough not to release a product that cant be used on all ranges of hardware and machines.Expect better than worse.

I just look at the bright side: I'm married to a psychologist- so the treatment is perpetual and free. :(
Always worried me that they would use their skills against me! Similar to "if you dont know why Im angree, Im not going to tell you!"

Very interesting Robert - It sounds like your wife may have very well been to my (day job) office and met with some of my friends. Small world.

Jack-Took me a darn long time to get Mrs. Randazzo's attention- I'm surely not going to blow it now!Besdies, the lovely Dr. Mrs. Randazzo is US Secret Service. You don't mess around on someone who can drop you from four zip codes away without even looking. :(
:( AHA !!!! So..... PMDG dont really have a "special" relationship with Boeing !! Mrs. Randazzo is a "cleaning lady" :( @ Boeing HQ.Golli
