I love my iPad! - It's the world in the palm of my hand! So amazing...Can someone create a list with iPad Apps that pertain to Flying procedures, like eg. That thing called FS knee board in someone's signature, I'd like that. That would be a huge plus! ( I would really love to maximize the use of my iPad.)
Jamalje,I posted a link to a webpage that lists apps for the iPad and iPhone that are related to flying: http://www.aviatorapps.com/ Most of them are though for RL procedures and use. BTW, the person with the FSKneeboard in his signature is actually the developer of that very app! :D

One great one that isn't listed there is AeroWeather, which is a free app that gives airport weather. It's great for checking weather if you're using ASE or similar.

First, please don't throw rocks on me...but i don't like VC at all. It's just my opinion...instrument panel, both of them, main and overhead, are great...but those windows and front windscreen are huge. On fourth picture, look from a captain seat, is not even close to real one. It was way to better on the old model, than on the new one.Again...that's just my opinion. Cheers!Dalibor Stanojevic

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Well, i think that you are one in a billion with that opinion. And by the way, is there a better alternative?

To be fair to Dalibor, the windscreens do 'look' huge in the pictures we have access to. One of the most striking things about the 737 cockpit is how small and slim the windows are. There's very few FS aircraft that have gotten that right, but It's probably very unfair to PDMG to judge based on a couple of screenshots. Hopefully in the sim itself, perspectives will work out and things will seem more accurate....in fact, Im positive it will given the amount of detail these boys have put into the design.

Have you tried using the app Air Display? Its great. Allows the iPad to be used another monitor AND the touch screen still works unlike Maxivista. So I use the iPad as my CDU and you can go anywhere in the house and monitor your status.Jack C
There are a few problems with making a CDU for the iPad. Connectivity is one. I used to use Air Display to display the FMC on the iPad but the connection timed out so much that I decided it wasn't worth he hassle. There are a lot of things that have to work really well such as the module in FS that takes the flight data and transfers it back and forth over the WiFi network to the ipad. And no matter how well you program your app, there's nothing that you can do about the inherent network instability issue some people see when trying to get the Apple iPad to connect seamlessly with the PC computer via wifi. In FS, reliability is probably the one thing needed for any add-on to be successful because we all know how much we hate it when something crashes in the middle of a flight. A CDU is one of those things that would probably always have to be working perfectly all the time for it to be of any use. Then there is the problem of keeping the device's nav data up do date which would have to be done by whoever is developing the app because it wouldn't be possible to go to Navigraph or where and buy a new data file.
I use this program often. has NEVER timed out at all. Very easy to use. You must have a router setting not correctly set up. Have done many 1-2 hr flight and no probs. This program is the shiz.Jack C

PMDG, I've a question and I really hope I get answer to it:- Can I asume that I'll get (almost) the same fps with the 737 NGX compared with the 747X?

Sorry for going so far off topic (and so soon too ;) but I can't stop laughing for some reason every time I see this image. Anyone know what movie this is from? Haha, serious the look on this guys face, the level of passion in his clap is hilarious...
Dan - don't know if you ever got an answer on this...but I believe that is from "Citizen Kane" with Orson Welles.Considered by many to be the greatest American film ever made.

I'm no network expert, however, when I use Air Display as a second display on my Mac, it has never failed. I only get the issues when using it with my PC. I'm sure it's something with my setup but I'm sure I'm not the only one with the issue. It IS a great app.

From what I've read, it should be better.

Many thanks for response! Where did you read it, to be exactly? :)
