Oh of course. I know that. I don't mean to sound presumtuous, I just thought that PMDG easily made enough money that treating the staff to a few manuals would be like loose change.

Well as a beta tester I don't really consider myself a staff member. I see myself more as a...consultant I guess. Or even a sub-contractor. But if PMDG considers us staff, I am flattered. I don't expect to recieve a $350 manual set free either. This is just my opinion.

I'm kind of curious to know how much PMDG makes on 1 product. For example J41,Price: 44.95$ USDlet's say 20,000 users buy the product. That should = 899,000$ USD (maybe not that many sold, maybe around 10,000?)I wonder if a portion goes to Aircraft manufactures for supplying documents etc? Well I believe they do not get the whole money, I'm sure there are a lot of money that disappear before reaching the company. Let's just say the webshop it is PMDG but it might not be developed and maintained by PMDG, and even if they handle it there is probably some kind of fee on payments that goes to the bank for example, that provide the service. That's just an example but I'm quite sure there are a number of things like that, and on this product as it is licensed with boeing, there might also be some kind of money that goes back to Boeing, there really is a whole lot of things, so I'm quite sure they don't get 100% of the price they sell the program.

We don't discuss business things here but I will tell you the economics of it are nowhere near as simple as sell X number of copies and pocket that gross sum, that is not how it works. No one is getting filthy rich making flight sim addons.

I suspect that these questions actually are a secret code that says something important! Maybe even the release date of the NGX! If we start decoding it now, we might just be done when the NGX comes out!
